I have been waiting on a banner crop like this for a while.

Saban visited Petit-Frere last night. Status update from his HS today:
ETA: According to Bill Greene (Ohio 247), ND is very much in play, in part due to academics. He said Ohio State is too, partly because of Ciao's close relationship with Schianno from his time coaching the TB Bucs. Greene switched his CB from Bama to Foggy for now, and said he was told Bama is out and has always been just "window dressing" in NPF's recruitment. He was also somewhat dismissive of UF's chances. It's possible Ciao is being disingenuous to some dgree. And there may be a lot of homerism in Greene's take. So TIFWIW.
quote:
“He’ll make a decision on Monday or Tuesday and sign on Wednesday. He’s a very thorough young man who has these wonderful opportunities. He’s not going to make any decisions until he goes on his final visit and puts it all together. Fortunately he’s able to do that. That’s his plan and that’s his mother’s plan.”
Each school that Petit-Frere has officially visited — Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan, and soon-to-be Ohio State — has a chance to land the elite lineman, according to Ciao, otherwise he would make it known a school is no longer in consideration.

We got another CB for Jaylen Waddle.

It'll be hand in hand for #1 with UGA

Guess I'm in the minority on Sewell. Really want him in this class.

According to Bill Greene
He was Scout's state of Ohio guy with a focus on Ohio State recruits. He started his article off by saying, "I know Alabama thinks..."
He also basically says the Florida visit was "meh," so if we are to believe him (again state of Ohio guy focused on Ohio State recruits), the SEC schools that have long been thought to be out front for this Florida kid are both falling behind the teams in the BIG 10 zone (including ND) due to Academics.
I realize NPF is not a typical recruit, but the window dressing and Bama is out stuff seems like major click-bait. IJS

I want Walker but if he is gone (we know Jackson has been gone for a while) and we can get 9 more, then gimme both OT's and 3 of the DB's...

I don't think it's that others wouldn't love to have him. Room is tight and needs for DL, DB, QB, WR & LB are greater in than OL for this class. I don't see room for Sewell, unless we miss on NPF and several other top targets. And there's a nice crop of 2019 in-state (and other) OLs.

The only way I want Sewell is if we miss on NPF. Otherwise give me another DB, DL or LB.

Sewell might have already missed his chance to be in this class.
First he was going to commit in August, then December. Might be too late now.

Who is MoJo? Can we start some new rule about using at least their real last name, especially if they're a new recruit? Not all of us spend 13 hours a day studying recruiting and memorizing initials.

2018 DT Moro Ojomo Senior Highlights
He's an absolute stud. I wish we could have gotten on him earlier. We (us, not the staff) discovered him about a month ago and were floored with his film.
Watch it.
ETA: I asked Boz to pass on his film last month and it looks like he did.

We just picked up CBs for Jaylen Waddle and Isaac Taylor-Stuart.

I also asked Boz to do it. He replied that he did.
ETA:
I take credit for the nicname MoJo. Looks like it has stuck.
