And Bobby Williams was a good coach.

I have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it. For some reason, it saps all of the energy out of me, and most of the time I don't really enjoy it. Occasionally, I'm up for it.

Jalen Hurts is a good passing quarterback.

Tua will take Hurts job...

Mac Jones will be our second string QB behind Tua next year.

Where is Boz? Chatta might have just made his head explode

I'm trying to be positive about Hurts' passing going into next year. Trying to remember that he regressed at the point of the year when Lane was already sort of "checking out". Frustrating as those last few games were passing, I'm trying to remember that and that he has excellent tools.

Real talk: I don't see Hurts progressing. It seems that DCs figured him out as the year went on. His completion chart was a nightmare if you took out the behind the LOS passes.
SECr talk: 15-0, 'ship, Hurts for Heisman, Sarkisian tGOAT QB coach.

I want Hurts to win the job, because if he improves it will be best for the team. I have some doubts though. If he can't get more accurate with downfield throws, then I'm worried. I pray that Sark can work with him.

Clemson knew that he couldn't throw deep so they just kept him in the pocket and started getting their arms up. They tipped so many of his passes.

Jalen is still a wildcard which is somewhat of a bad sign. I can't help but think of Barnett's pass to O.J., the only time he caught the ball in stride all season, and wonder if BB8 would have had a higher end-of-the-year-ceiling.
Despite it all, I'm feeling pretty confident about our offense next year. There's so much talent there.

I agree. I'm remaining optimistic. Feeling like Sark will be able to help Hurts' improve a lot in his passing game from spring through fall camp.

I think Saban kinda put clamps on Hurts and the offense as the postseason started. He figured if the offense didn't turn the ball over, his defense would win the game.
After watching the turnover fest in the 1st half of the Iron Bowl, who could blame him.
The strategy didn't work out in the end.

The thing is. He's so dangerous as a runner (not just good, but great since he runs well with power and has good vision with good speed) that he will never have to develop into a really good passer. If he can merely become average, we'll be almost unstoppable with the talent around him and his legs. I think we can get him to average. If he becomes better than average, then look out record books, because he should have all the one on one matchups he could ever dream of.

None of this jalen talk would be going on if the defense had made the last stop on the last drive or if the refs would've called the pick play.

I actually agree with this. It got to the point that Hurts didn't even keep it very much and I believe it's because our coaches knew he has a difficult time hanging on to the ball.

i think its very plausible with how the game is changing with RPOs.

So what time is our first announcement tomorrow? I don't have to be anywhere for work until early afternoon, so how late should I sleep in?
