Watts said this in his update on Robertson. Is this true? I know Hootie Jones signed one with both us and L5U. I think CRob did too.

I think the issue is, if a guy signs an agreement with school X and is continued to be recruited by school Y, then signs with LOI with school Y, then school X has committed a violation by remaining in contact. I may have that backwards, but it seems lsu got in trouble for that with Matt Womack if I remember correctly

I think you are correct on that. LSU was hit for a violation for that regarding Womack

Someone on BOL is claiming that FSU LB Commit Vandarius Cowan will flip to Bama, not sure when though. I'm assuming pretty soon.

I believe it is about contact with the recruit after the financial aid agreement is signed.

At least that's what LSU got in trouble for. Womack signed the financial aid agreement which temporarily allowed unlimited contact, but it was retroactively ruled illegal contact after he signed his LOI with Bama.

Edit: I see now that I'm just repeating what you said in your post. Had I read it more clearly the first time, I wouldn't have made this post

So he signed one with Alabama? I know he signed one with California a few weeks ago.

With several top 2017 quarterbacks still uncommitted, it's time to look ahead and project which schools would provide ideal fits.

What are the best landing spots for Braxton Burmeister, Lowell Narcisse and Tua Tagovailoa?

Watch Madelyn Burke and Bleacher Report College Football Analyst Michael Felder select their best QB landing spots in the video above.

Will someone watch this and tell us where they think Tagovailoa goes? The video won't play for me at work.

Did you quit TSWSNBN? You haven't posted there in almost two weeks.

Signing financial aid with a school only makes it where the school can have unlimited contact with the prospect.

The player is still free to sign the same agreement with another school, and continue to visit and carry on his recruitment same as before.

The violations are made if other schools contact a player after they have signed a LOI elsewhere.

I think.

Tim Watts is saying we lead for Austin Troxell and he may be making his decision in a few weeks.

My understanding is any contact that would be forbidden by NCAA rules would turn into penalties for the school which does not sign him. So that "unlimited contact" can bite you in the arse. I assume Saban has followed the NCAA contact calendar.

I knew this guy was going to be trouble. I wish Alabama would have just backed off and said "no thanks" to him. He's a me person, not a team player.

I know. UGA, Cal, and GT. He's a diva, and I predict trouble with whichever college he signs with.
