Four-star LB Chris Allen confirmed he will visit #Alabama next weekend. Big weekend for Bama as all commitments expected in town.

Exactly. We will replace a top 5 recruiter (Cristobal) with.... another top 5 recruiter (Locksley).

This place sometimes...

I assume it comes with a gold nugget in each pocket in the shape of a script "A"?

I don't know why I am not a big fan of the script A that looks like it was glued on to the sweatshirt.

From a poster on BOL:

quote:

Kendell Jones just said on a live Instagram video that he's at Co-Lin right now and is still going to go to Alabama. He also said he's got a 3.0 right now and said it was going to be higher. Said he wants to win Alabama another ring. Just some info I thought I'd share because I know a few have asked about him lately. RTR

With Alabama only hosting one visitor this weekend in 4-star cornerback Christopher Henderson, it comes as no surprise that a handful of the Tide’s commitments and targets will be on campuses elsewhere.

Alabama commits:

Christopher Allen, 4-star LB, Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab – LSU
Jhavonte Dean, 4-star CB, Blinn (Texas) – Miami – Flip watch

Alabama targets:

Aubrey Solomon, 5-star DT, Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County – USC
LaBryan Ray, 4-star DE, Madison (Ala.) James Clemens – Tennessee
Jarez Parks, 4-star DE, Sebastian (Fla.) River – Florida
Devonta Smith, 4-star WR, Amite (La.) – LSU
Henry Ruggs III, 4-star WR, Montgomery (Ala.) Lee – FSU
Phidarian Mathis, 4-star DT, Monroe (La.) Neville – LSU
Devon Hunter, 4-star S, Chesapeake (Va.) Indian River -- Florida
Todd Harris, 4-star S, Plaquemine (La.) -- LSU

Other tidbits from Kendell's instagram live from that poster on BOL:
quote:

He said he was supposed to be in Tuscaloosa tonight but didn't make it. Also said he'll be in next years class, just has to get his 4.0. Kid loves Alabama, he made that very clear lol

quote:

He said something about JUCO coaches were "all over the place" and that some didn't like Alabama anymore. I came in half way through that so didn't know what he was referring to.

Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell and National Recruiting Analyst Adam Gorney don’t always see eye to eye. In this edition of Rival Views, the two debate which program will finish the strongest down the stretch in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

FARRELL'S VIEW: ALABAMA

I’ll go out on a limb and say Alabama.

Since we can assume they will land in-state defensive end LaBryan Ray, and it would be difficult to strike out on both wide receiver targets Henry Ruggs and Devonta Smith, you know Alabama will be adding at least a couple of four-stars to their No. 1 class.

But what about Aubrey Solomon, the five-star defensive tackle from Georgia? The Dawgs are making a big push, but he loved his visit to Alabama and he’s talked often about wanting to get out of state. Four-star Jarez Parks is also considered by many to be an Alabama lean, but a lot depends on if they have room and how they feel about the depth at defensive line in the 2017 class. The Tide can get both in the end.

Alabama will likely shed a couple of commitments or send them to blue-shirt land to make room if everyone they target wants to come to Tuscaloosa, so it will be interesting to see how that shakes out.

USC, which is currently ranked No. 17 in the Rivals.com team recruiting rankings, is also poised for a strong close. The Trojans have only 15 commits and are well positioned with a number of highly-ranked targets. Similarly, Georgia, which currently checks in at No. 3 in the rankings, still has some top-tier players on the board.

But one thing you can always count on with Alabama under Nick Saban is a strong finish. And another is a surprise or two down the stretch. (Landing both Ruggs and Smith, stealing C.J. Henderson out of South Florida?) Is it too much to say the current No. 1 recruiting program in the country will finish strong even if they lose as many commitments as they add in the next few weeks if it’s by choice? Not in my book.

Gorney picked LSixU, but he did not mention Chris Allen for them.
