Cam Akers and my Clinton Arrows just scored on a Hail Mary as halftime expired to lead Pearl in the Mississippi 6A title game 28-14. The Arrows get the ball back after halftime too.
Akers has over 30 TDs rushing and passing this season.

Rodney Orr and Redfish both think Devonta is out as of now. Could change, but we have more pressing position needs.

Does the staff see Townsend more of a receiver now instead of a DB? Still would like to keep Smith from going to LSU.

Cam Akers has 203 rushing yards and 5 TDs to go along with 228 yards passing and 2 TDs in the state championship game tonight. 10 minutes remaining in the game.

He's electric with the ball in his hands. Coaches have been telling him offense lately. So it sounds like Slot WR.

The Clinton Arrows defeat the Pearl Pirates 49-35 for the Mississippi 6A Championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Believe they love Smith, and would like to take him.......but you can't take them all. And a 4th WR cuts a potential need at DL or DB.

Devonta Smith is elite. I'd rather take an elite WR than a borderline SEC player at DB. Numbers shouldn't matter. Talent prevails.

Who are you saying is the borderline SEC DB? Not trying to argue with you. I just don't know who you're referring to.
Gibbs?
Gibbs?

McDonald was the one I had in mind initially.
You can't tell me we don't have room for Devonta Smith when we've accepted commitments from Hunter Brannon and Kyriq McDonald.
That's fricking ludicrous. I'd rather our insiders be fricking honest and say we were beat out for Smith than pass off this unbelievable fricking idiotic lie.
Goddamn we aren't all that fricking stupid.

My bad. Hell, throw Townsend on that list too.
Posted on 12/2/16 at 11:04 pm to Cobrasize
Hell no. Townsend is an elite athlete. We can use him in multiple roles. We don't need a Center or a 5'8 defensive back with suspect speed. Townsend is 6'1" with blazing speed.

yea, he is fast. I'm just worried about him being from such a small school.
There have been plenty of guys from small schools that do well though, I hope he is one of them

Ardarius Stewart was from a small school. OJ Howard too.
