LOL. Okay. At some point a little koolaid drinking is going on. Ohio State thinks they're going to make a clean sweep of the top 25. Georgia thinks they're going to. LSU folks are delirious over their class. Maybe we can have a crumb or two this year?

Most years I would agree with the insanity but look at the predictions by people who get paid to cover this. OSU is the favorite to land 4-5 more 5* guys in Okudah Grimes Lindsey and young and have been climbing with Akers and Browning.
They told a 4* top 20 rb in the country to greyshirt 9 months before signing day.
Bama will get theirs as they always do but I think a lot of your Tide friends would agree OSU will likely have the best average per player come signing day

I'd be careful making recruiting bets in July!
Imo OSU gets Lindsey, Okudah, and possibly Grimes.
Akers will be at Ole Miss baring some kind of NCAA catastrophe.
Browning is very interested in OSU but UT has always been the favorite.
Lemme ask you this... Why is Tate Martell a 5 star? Not trolling, it's just hard to justify for such an unconventional QB. Regardless of his flawless win record at Bishop Gormon.

I don't think he is a 5* on most services. I haven't watched enough of his highlights but he has a good arm and is great outside the pocket.
I'm not really making bets but OSU has a small class and it's filling up quick

Josh Meyers looks like a young Jonah Williams (being generous)
Shaun Wade will do big things in Columbus or Tuscaloosa.
Chase Young is unfortunately not a 5 star caliber player
I will be SHOCKED if OSU has a higher star ratio or more 5 stars than Alabama on NSD. But at least your headliners are actually good recruits. Can you imagine hanging the future of your program solely on Dylam McCaffery or Nico Collins. Yikes.

Browning is also visiting Bama this month.

On paper, OSU will have a great class. I have no doubts about that. But they'll be hard pressed to ever top their 2013 class that wasn't ranked #1. Everybody seemed to pan out for them in that class. Sort of like our 2008 class (and 09 to a point). I think our 2014-15 classes will prove to be very special in the history books when it's all said and done. We're about to have some 3rd year sophomores/Juniors and 2nd year sophomores/freshmen that nobody is expecting much out of (outside this area) blow up. Those that thought Hand and Christian Miller are busts because they've not seen that much of them in their first couple years are about to be in for a rude awakening.

I won't argue with that. They will top out at 20-21 and therefore they can't have the # likely.

He is raw as all hell, but he has the frame to add 50 lbs and people like his quickness. He will have to redshirt or plan on being a 3rd down pass rush specialist for at least a year.
It's an exciting time until the real season starts

I mean they'll be hard pressed to sign a better class. They may sign better classes on paper, but rarely do you have so many pan out to be top talents in one class. The hit rate had to be over 50%, which is rare.

The way I see it, Alabama might have 6+ 5 star recruits on NSD.
Marvin Wilson
Najee Harris
Alex Leatherwood
Elliott Baker
AJ Terrell
Bama Bump for either Gary Johnson (#2 Juco) or Devonta Smith
That's not counting other possibilities like Walker Little, Isaiah Wilson, Dylan Moses, Shaun Wade or Barron Browning.

I see OSU finishing with:
Myers
Davis
Grimes
Lindsey
Wade
Okudah
I think Dobbins may get a bump to 5* which of course will cost someone else a star, and Martell may get bumped up 1 spot. We mentioned young before and you mentioned browning.
Who knows who will be ranked 1-32 end of the year anyway

Bama squad(Tua, Harris, Leatherwood, Cowan) has beat LSU and UGA in the tug of war.
They won, hang the banner.
They won, hang the banner.

That sounds thread worthy on the rant.

According to Anthony McFarland we currently have the edge for him.

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Friday afternoon at The Opening Finals saw players break up into a camp-like setting to work on position-specific drills and 1on1s. Here are our observations from watching the wide receivers and tight ends work out at the Nike World Headquarters.
Alpha Dog
East St. Louis (Ill.) Top247 slot receiver Jeff Thomas was electric during Friday afternoon’s workout. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect showed off his blazing deep speed that helped him the camp’s fastest man award on vertical routes. Thomas was also explosive coming out of breaks to gain separation on the defensive back consistently.
Next 3
- Joseph Lewis of Los Angeles (Calif.) Hawkins consistently beat defensive backs down the field during 1on1s. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder’s smooth routes helped him get a step on the defenders, while also flashing the ability to high point the ball for completions.
- The diminutive Tyjon Lindsey might be the quickest receiver in the entire camp. The Corona (Calif.) Centennial product is lethal on double moves and looks to be a big play waiting to happen.
- Florida State commit D.J. Matthews has a very similar playing style to Lindsey where he used his elite quickness and crisp routes to shake defenders. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian product was able to consistently able to get behind the defense.
Signature Play
The best play of the day for the receivers came from Jeff Thomas that ran a stutter and go down the left sideline. The one misstep from the defensive back was all Thomas needed to accelerate past for the touchdown. Thomas showed on that play alone his speed was on another level compared to the other receivers in the camp.
Emptying the Notebook
— Oklahoma wide receiver commit Jalen Reagor just missed the top performers cut with his impressive play. Reagor showed strong hands catching the ball in traffic, as well as the ability run smooth and explosive routes. He excelled on Friday on numerous post routes.
— The receiver that had the biggest beef with the defensive backs Friday was Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas standout Trevon Grimes. He was the target of plenty of trash talk and he was not bashful about returning the verbal jabs. USC safety commit Bubba Bolden called out Grimes and the Top247 receiver that is favoring Ohio State fought off the jam easily to catch a slant.
— The nation’s top two wide receivers according to 247Sports - Tee Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones - sat out the afternoon position drills with injuries. Neither took part in the 1on1s, and it’s unknown if they will take part in 7on7 on Saturday and Sunday.
No mention of Shavers, Smith or Jeudy.
