Not enough spots in OSU class to be #1 I would be shocked if it ends over 21/22
Should be Myers, Grimes, Lindsay, Davis, okudah wade maybe then they are in it for like 4 more
OSU should have highest average per commit for sure

Yeah highest average is a give in, especially considering we took two specialists

With us signing a kicker and a long snapper, you probably will.
That's not to say you couldn't anyway.

So how does that work since we may not sign a 3* in the class (except for the two specialists.. and specialists never get over 3*)?
Are you looking at literally signing zero 3*s (like we might be) and just more 5*s?
Not that any of this matters in the least. I'm just curious how your average could be higher. More "high" 4*s?

Mainly this. I don't think OSU is taking any current 3* guys but one or two may drop.
Guys OSU likely has left are all 94 or above with 4 being 98 or above (grimes Lindsay Davis and okudah)

Gotcha. Saban usually makes a few camp offers every year of lower rated guys. So we may yet sign a couple lower ranked guys. Sterling (our DE commit from Ga.) will end up a 4*. His film is nasty. But holding on to him will be tough. I'll try and put together a predicted class list for later, which is going to be next to impossible to be even close to accurate with.

Yea OSUs list now is 2/3 full and they will hopefully add the 4 I mentioned above likely add Riep, they are on on Akers, Browning and Young as 5*. Other high 4s are Tufele, the OTHER wade, and Ewell. Prob gonna take 7 more or so. Obviously names may pop up and they could lose 1/2 but that's likely the class

Baylor released Patrick Hudson from his scholarship. Doesn't have to sit out.

Devin Duvernay went to Texas.

Bone has maintained recently that we were not pursuing Wyatt Davis hard and he didn't expect him to be in this class. So not really a surprise.

Are we pursuing?

It wouldn't surprise me. But I'd imagine he winds up closer to home.

Best guess on who commits next?
Posted on 6/23/16 at 9:24 pm to chattabama
Heck, I don't even know who we'll let commit right now (that isn't a specialist).
I keep hearing Ruggs, but are we going to let him commit?
I'll go with a surprise and predict Tyriq McDonald.

Our next commit will be the water boy from Guntersville.

We definitely want Townsend as a DB per an article linked on a site earlier today (was on my phone at the time and can't find it now) in his own words. So at least we know for sure where he'll start out. Whether it's CB or FS, I'm not certain.

We have just as many players in the running for us as Ohio State does, I believe all in all we will stay #1 I will never doubt saban and this staff. Plus, Saban always works his magic on the week of NSD and pulls a surprise commitment from someone lol

Okay, so we have 15 commitments. Let's just say we have no decommitments and sign 13 more to get to 28 total. Here's what I think the numbers will be per position.
QB- 2 (0 more)
RB- 2 (0 more)
WR- 5 (4 more)
TE- 1 (1 more)
OL- 3 (1 more)
DL- 5 (4 more)
LB- 4 (1 more)
DB- 4 (2 more)
Specialists (Ugh)- 2 (0 more)
I'll believe we only take 4 DL this time when I see it. The need at that position is severe.
Maybe we only sign 4 WR and sign another LB. Just don't see a way to make the numbers work to sign another RB. Maybe no TE this time since Forristall looks like a monster if Irv Smith looks like the real deal?

I really wish that they would increase scholarship numbers to 95 or 100.
