I would have assumed Bama was getting one for sure. Obviously he has 3 left to announce but figured he would have said OSU/Bama were getting 1 each

Is this a big loss? I hadn't even heard about this kid.

Would you guys be shocked if Jeff Thomas weren't allowed to commit this past weekend? I'm not saying that this did or didn't happen. I'm just wondering what the reaction would be.

Would want to know his chances of being eligible for next year. The next East St Louis, IL player to be eligible will likely be the first.

I've seen a list of guys that we've passed on in recent years that "we could have signed" (whether this is true or just cocky bluster from the staff in some of the cases, I'm not sure) that absolutely floored me. My memory is so bad that I don't remember many of the names. I do recall that Dalvin Cook (surprised me) was on the list, and it was said that he tried to commit to us at one point and we didn't accept it.

Thomas nor Netherly were allowed to commit this past weekend. But not to worry, the cupboard will not be bare like last year at the WR position. Jeudy, D. Smith and Ruggs are near locks, with Collins the wide card here.

Wow, I would be a little pissed if they didn't let Thomas commit.

Yep. That was the word this morning. To say we must be in great shape at the WR position this recruiting cycle must be the understatement of the century.

Hearing that Christian Bell was told he wouldn't see the field until his Junior year by Pruitt, and now may be looking to transfer. The source said Saban has given his blessing if he wants to go, but he can't go anywhere in the SEC. FSU and Wisconsin were mentioned as teams he may have lined up to talk about transferring too.........

I was never really impressed with Bell. I think he's a good kid and deserves a shot somewhere though.

Redfish hinted that Bell might be looking at transfer options a few weeks ago. I wish him a great career wherever he winds up due to the fact that he was willing to greyshirt with us.

Don't be surprised if an ILB or two leave as well.
