Well he didn't say he was 200% committed, but he did forewarn BOL of his impending flip to the Gators with this quote today:

quote:

Leatherwood was one of the top recruiters for four-star JUCO tackleElliot Baker, who committed to Alabama last Monday evening.

“I feel real good about it,” Leatherwood said. “I was the one who really got him onboard. I was convincing him that me and him could both make early impacts, and the importance of needing tackles and stuff like that.”

Again, no 200% nonsense:

quote:

As far as Leatherwood’s commitment status, he answered as to whether he’s still a firm commit to the Crimson Tide.

“Of course,” he said.

Yeah, I've seen nothing in reports or from any of our mods that he's not solid. Just telling you what the UF folks think. Then again, looking around at some of the posts of various recruits online, it looks like they think they're going to flip a lot of people. So maybe it's just bluster.

Georgia and UF's coaching staffs think they are going to split the top 50 players in the country equally among themselves, it appears.

Apparently Tim Watts said we only have room for 3 more WRs now. So four, not five, wideouts in this class.

frick.

Sounds like people need to start committing to make sure they have a spot.

With our front 7 needs and signing a kicker this time, it's not unexpected.

So Jeudy, Smith, and either Ruggs or Collins. And right now, I think our staff likes Ruggs more.

Yeah, I hate to see a top 50 in-state guy go elsewhere. But Smith and Jeudy are probably the very most elite of the elite this year. And where does Townsend end up? I'm glad these decisions aren't up to me.

Jeff Thomas over Ruggs.

I know Ruggs is an Alabama kid too, but Thomas is elite.

Is Thomas supposed to be at The Opening? I was a little disappointed with the coverage of the Rivals 5 Star Challenge. Not as many videos and things like that as I was hoping they would put out. I'm ready to see how our targets fare at The Opening, where we have a lot more guys competing than we did this past weekend.

It says Opening Finals on his 247 profile page so I assume he will be there.

Take neither IMO. Just go and get Collins, Smith, and Juedy

Really liked his agility on film for his height. I assumed the 4.38 was a giggles time but holy shite, 247 says the 4.38 was laser timed in March.

A lot of people were surprised by this commitment, but if you look back at my posts from earlier this spring you will see that i had no clue who he was.

Roll Tide.

Some around UF's program (think this comes from the staff level) think they have a good chance to flip Leatherwood.

I know Luke Stampini is the one spreading it on the internet, what his source is I have no clue. But, Stampini leads the Gators in the wrong direction A LOT.

I have everyone beat, I've been calling him Tyler Shivers. I read his name earlier, so apparently I can't read.
