Hey TS do you think Leatherwood will stick with Bama? I don't see him flipping to LSU but some think they have a chance.

He's Alabama's biggest recruiter in the class.

Yeah I'm with Cap on this one. Leatherwood has taken visits but he's solid. He's a beast too.

This has nothing at all to do with recruiting, I just thought it was interesting.

Not disagreeing with anyone on here but in the last 4-5 years no one is solid until the ink is dry.

Leatherwood came to practice wearing LSU gear. I said what are you doing? He told me I like the way the clothes look, but you know where my heart is. Obviously things can change.

Nebraska is in the market for Utah defensive tackle graduate transfer Steve Tu’ikolovatu, but the Huskers aren’t the only ones.

As HuskersIllustrated.com reported Sunday, Tu’ikolovatu is also considering Alabama, and made a trip to Tuscaloosa on Monday to check out the Crimson Tide.

Tu’ikolovatu, a 6-foot-1, 320-pound defensive tackle played in 13 games last season for the Utes, making two starts and recording 28 tackles, two sacks and six tackles for loss.

Tu'ikolovatu tied for second in the nation last season with four fumble recoveries, including one that he returned for a 37-yard touchdown against Fresno State. He appeared in 12 games in 2014, making eight tackles after missing the entire 2013 season because of a foot injury.

Tu’ikolovatu, a native of Salt Lake City, was initially a walk-on with the 2009 recruiting class, but delayed his enrollment for two years to serve an LDS mission. He will turn 25 in June.

In addition to Nebraska and Alabama, USC is also in the mix for the transfer defensive tackle.

The offseason is the time for optimism, so fans are looking ahead to the 2016 college football season with dreams of at least a conference championship.

But only 10 of the 128 Football Bowl Subdivision programs will eventually hoist their respective leagues' trophies. We're here to predict which schools will ultimately earn that opportunity, also including the opponent in the conference title game.

Although a championship generally means more nationally for a Power Five faction, "Group of Five" teams are vying for the spot in a New Year's Six bowl game.

For ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC squads, though, a conference championship is merely a necessary step toward claiming a spot in the College Football Playoff.

SEC:

The Third Saturday in October is an important clash, but Alabama and Tennessee might have a second meeting in 2016.

After being a 4th-and-14 away from the SEC East crown last season, the Vols are poised to appear in the conference championship for the first time since 2007. Florida and Georgia are the primary adversaries for Tennessee's pursuit.

In the West, the division is a three-team race among Alabama, Ole Miss and LSU. Until proved otherwise, though, the Crimson Tide hold the edge. The Rebels and Tigers haven't managed to avoid bad conference losses late in the season recently.

Alabama probably won't finish undefeated, but Nick Saban has directed the program to consecutive College Football Playoff appearances with one-loss records. Make it three.

Champion: Alabama over Tennessee

Lol! This would be a big pickup. This came out of nowhere. Hopefully this is Verne's last year. With Nessler coming over, it looks like it's inevitable that he is taking over for him when he hangs it up.

QB Group Lives Up to Hype

With a field that included quarterbacks committed to schools such as Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan and Washington State, the arm talent on display was evident from the get-go.

Led by head coach Trent Dilfer, The Elite 11 coaching staff were energetic throughout the event in doling out praise and offering tips to the passers in attendance.

Three known quantities lived up to their billing in 5-star Michigan pledge Dylan McCaffrey, 4-star Alabama commit Tua Tagovailoa and 4-star Jack Sears—who is uncommitted and also earned MVP of the quarterback segment. All three consistently performed at a high level and made their selections for the Elite 11 finals a mere formality.

On a laptop you just click on the one you want. To make sure it worked, you click on Preview to show you what the post looks like.

For example: : lol : without the spaces.
: nana : without the spaces.

Keyboard emojis come up as question marks and will not post on this site.

PHENIX CITY, Ala. — Auburn freshman cornerback John Broussard received rave reviews during spring practice. It’s likely that Broussard will see the field this fall for the Tigers in some role.

Now picture a 10th grade wide receiver consistently winning one-on-one battles against the SEC cornerback.

That’s what usually happened in Central High School’s practice when Broussard lined up against Justyn Ross, a Class of 2018 four-star wide receiver, according to coach Jamey Dubose.

“Broussard and Justyn would go head-to-head almost every day, and I’m not knocking John when I say this, but Justyn got the better end of the deal a lot of the times,” Dubose told SEC Country. “If Justyn wants to get open and wants to get it done, it’s going to get done.”

Ross is rated as the state of Alabama’s No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2018. As a sophomore, the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder had 34 receptions, 672 yards and seven touchdowns.

Dubose vividly remembers two of those touchdowns.

“He caught a pass last year against Opelika where he went up for the ball, two guys hit him and he bounced off them and scored a touchdown,” Dubose said. “He caught a slant pass in a game last year, both safeties broke to the middle to hit him and he was able to split them and outrun them to the endzone. As far as receiving the football, there aren’t many better than him. Period.”

There are several SEC schools in the mix for Ross, most notably Alabama and Auburn. With Broussard at Auburn and another teammate of his, 2017 four-star linebacker Markail Benton trending that way, the Tigers may be in good position to land Ross when that time comes. But Ross doesn’t have any favorites right now.

Whichever school lands Ross when he does make a commitment is getting “one of the most athletic kids around,” according to Dubose.

Several college coaches have been by Central to check in on Ross and Benton during the spring evaluation period. Whenever Dubose speaks to these coaches about Ross, a statement seems to always come up.

“Many college coaches have told me that they think he’s a first-round draft choice,” Dubose said. “I don’t think he is even close to his potential yet, and that’s the scariest thing to me. I think he can be better than what he is now.”

Dubose has been in the coaching world for more than 10 years, and he may have not coached a better player than Ross.

“I’m going to tell you this, I’ve been around a lot of great players,” Dubose said. “I’ve been fortunate enough to coach some really exceptional players. Justyn Ross is by far, I don’t know if there’s one better out there, but I would like to see anyone go head-to-head with him and see what they can do.”

Ross is rated as the nation’s No. 12 wide receiver in 2018. Expect that ranking to rise once camp season begins this summer.

Sounds like he is Auburn bound IMO.
