This thread is my way of procrastinating for the studying I have to do. I have been predicting a top five finish for this class for a pretty long time, so I am going to stick with that. I think we make it to about #3 or #4.
No promises on melting though if we lose both Davis and Wilson.
Come on man you're being a little to dramatic. For one it's quite obvious both Ben Davis and Lyndell Wilson are coming. Secondly, it would be basically impossible with the current class we have the the spots to fill up that we would be anywhere outside the top 3; considering who we have left and if we fill our class.
If we take 25 or 26 we'll either be #1 or #2.

I think we all will if we don't land those two
I'm not sure how to feel about this class. We'll certainly get signing day drama that everyone has bitched about not getting these past few years. I absolutely love the offensive line class, and I'm pretty high on hurts and emmons. Not sure how I feel about the rest of it. Here's to finishing strong and getting landmassed
ETA: hank said it wasn't their side that have Johnson the update, so that's cool I guess. I miss Tim Watts.

I was just joking that that would be the only way I would have a good melt on NSD. Not likely.

I am doubting the first part of your statement moreso than the last.

Final Prediction time. Assuming we have eight spots, who do we finish with?
1. Mack Wilson
2. Ben Davis
3. Irvin Smith
4. Joshua Jacobs
5. Korey Banks
6. Jamar King
7. Mykel Jones
8. Terrell Hall
That finish would put us at 292.46, which would be #1 now, but #2 when LSU adds fulton. And that's assuming tOSU doesn't add anybody else.

Going to be hard to beat out Ole Miss for any player they have visiting them this weekend. Whoever is in Oxford this weekend, going ahead and take them off the board. They will be a Rebel. They won't have time to come to their senses before signing day.

No way the tweets are violations. They just say they in GA and a Waffle House. The recruit connected the dots. These kids tweet everything, so ND could have predicted that, but that's not on them.
Reading the rule on the miscellaneous promotions, ND is screwed. They drove a rolling billboard through the guy's neighborhood and to his school with a design to publicize the institution's interest in a particular prospective student-athlete. The recruit was impressed, just as if they set up billboard.
NCAA bylaw 13.4.3.5 Miscellaneous Promotions reads: "Member institutions and their representatives of athletics interests are prohibited from financing, arranging or using recruiting aids (e.g., newspaper advertisements, bumper stickers, message buttons) designed to publicize the institution's interest in a particular prospective student-athlete."

No DB's? I think we'll get at least 1 of Carter/Knott/Mayden and possibly 2.
I have our finish as:
Ben Davis
Mack Wilson
A.J. Brown
Terrell Hall
Shyheim Carter
Jamar King
Irvin Smith
Josh Jacobs
And 1 NSD surprise - Recruit X (Juarez/J. Simmons/Dickerson/D. Brown/M. Carter)

Why do so many of these parents give a shite? My mom would have never dreamed of influencing my college decision. The hell do these women know? They can go on one visit and know if it's right for their son? The control they have over their lives just baffles me.
As a mom, I have to say "Are you serious with this???"
"Why do parents give a shite?" - Uh, it's sort of in my job description to give a shite about any big decision my son is faced with. It is my job to give a shite that he ends up in the best situation. It is my job to give a shite that extraneous things like pussy, cool bars, and the like don't take precedence over important considerations.
"Influencing the college decision" - Forcing my son to choose a specific college is not the same as looking at all options with a different set of eyes and pointing out factors that should be considered. For example, I know my son better than anyone. Despite the fact that I and his father are UA alums, I don't think UA in its current incarnation is the best fit for my kid. It's too big and with his personality, I think it would be overwhelming to him. He will do much better at a smaller school. I am encouraging him to focus his attention on schools that I think he will have success. So, hell yeah I am "influencing his college decision". Again, that's part of my job.
"What the hell do these women know?" - I'll tell you what they hell they know - their sons. I applaud a mother who makes the effort to learn about all the schools after her son. I applaud the son for knowing his mother has his best interests at heart.
Now, if a mom or a dad has their hand out, is only pushing her son towards a school because it in some way benefits the parent, or pulls some shite like Landon Collins' mom, then I agree - they suck.
But I absolutely defend any parent who is advising their son to look at the whole picture of every program and making an educated decision and helping their son make what is most likely a life changing decision.
