Yea, seemed like Robertson decided he wanted to be different and go to ND or Stanford.

Durkin put together a pretty solid recruiting staff. If they could ever get things rolling with that staff they could finally cash in on their location. So many kids within 3 hours of College Park. Only problem is, they're Maryland.

Garcia is being a tease. These tidbits are behind a paywall:

Big 12 commitment visits #Bama with parents, who give him their blessing to make a late flip.

One #Bama commitment in town this weekend tells us he was on an unofficial. But that didnt stop him from recruiting

More inductive reasoning:

Sci is a three star... we are taking all of the three stars... therefore, Bama lock.

Gary tidbit:

quote:

Gary already made official visits to Mississippi, Auburn and Michigan, and he is contemplating a visit to either LSU, Alabama or Clemson. Ohio State is also trying to get involved with a Monday in-home visit.

"He could definitely go to USC," Coney said. "The visit was a game-changer."

quote:

Next up for Gary is a Jan. 23 unofficial visit to Michigan. Coney said it is uncertain whether he will make a fifth official visit.

The haters say Saban only wins because he gets the best players. Can you imagine what the narrative will be if Saban wins the title with a bunch of three stars at the helm?

“Notre Dame definitely helped themselves,” he said. “They were toward the bottom of the list but now they’re definitely in my top three. Like I said, I definitely had a great time. I learned a lot. It’s way nicer than I thought. I’ve got a whole different perspective on Notre Dame right now.”

Next up for Davis are official visits to Alabama and Auburn. Each will play host over the next couple weeks, although Davis isn’t sure which one is up first just yet. Georgia and LSU have already received official visits.

Davis plans to announce his decision on National Signing Day. Notre Dame moved into Davis’ current top three and he revealed the other two main contenders.

“Right now it would probably be Alabama and Georgia with Georgia being No. 1,” Davis said.

I'm behind. Which elite 2017 recruits do we lead for? Moses and Harris are the only two I can think of.

I was referring to WR prospects, not RB or in general.

Guys like:

Nico Collins
Jerry Jeudy
Jeff Thomas
Devonta Smith
Tarik Black
Trey Blount
JaCoby Stevens

At worst Bama is #2 for the last 3.

Came pretty close to that in 2009 (and definitely 2008). A bunch of Shula 2-3-4 stars with sophomore 4-5 stars sprinkled in.

Ah, ok. I've been behind on 16/17 recruiting. Does Moses want to play RB/what do we want him as?

Diggs going full gump in this interview:

quote:

"It felt different, like I'm apart of it now, instead of wanting to join in," he said.

...

Admitting he was also in touch with defensive back targets like Jared Mayden and Jack Jones while in town, there was a clear recruiting pitch.

"I be like, this place is really live!" Diggs said. "You can make plays, we've got great fans...I tell them they've got to come to a game to see how it is. Everything is perfect. You'll be a winner, you'll have great competition every day of practice, they'll put you in a position to be great and you can become a better person, become a better player and student as well.

"The academics are good, they've got a lot of support, so I feel like it's the best place anybody can go to."

The four-star's own recruitment has been often-talked about on the east coast, particularly by a crowd assuming he'd follow brother Stefon Diggs to semi-local Maryland. It continues despite Diggs remaining on UA's commitment list.

"I committed for a reason, it's where I want to be," he said.

His only other visit planned is January 22nd for his OV here.

He says he is being recruited as the WR opposite Ridley. Also is trying to recruit other WRs here. He uses a lot of "we" in the interview.

The end of the article says that Diggs might visit Maryland or other schools, but those plans aren't currently set up yet.

I think he's a LB out of the 2, hoping he's able to live up to the hype playing at IMG.

I see a great athlete, but I don't see a great position player YET. His instincts are good, but he just doesn't jump off the screen...

Did I somehow miss that his brother is a football player? I hope we aren't getting K-Allen'd.
