I appreciate Lane being loyal.

Folks are really high on this Petitto move. BOL's speculation is that Freddie Roach could move into the LB coaching position and Petitto would take his support position.
Again, this is just speculation but could be where things are headed.

but this should pretty much lock up Shy Carter
Huge in 2017 with Devonta Smith as well.
All 3 hail from the same town.
Petitto did coach the DBs for UGA's bowl game, has experience aside that, coached with Pruitt, and coached with Saban. Has ties to the Louisiana area, a place Saban loves to go into.
Starting to wonder...

If he plans to continue to be an OC there is no reason for him to go anywhere but Bama, unless the NFL comes calling and he wants to do that.
No one can give him the toys to play with that Bama can.

Ryan Anderson may have been a 5 star on one or two services, I can't remember now.
Dont recall which one, but yeah he definitely was considered a 5* by one or more of the services.

Anderson was a 5-Star for most of the process but dropped in the final rankings. So he was signed as a 4-Star across the 4 major outlets (247/Rivals/Scout/ESPN)... not that it matters because dude has developed quite nicely!!!

Chip Kelly was just hired by the 49ers. Hope he wasn't in Lane's ear on his visit to Tuscaloosa last week.

I can't see Lane being a lackey for Chip, who runs his own offense. That makes no sense.

Yeah I can't either. Chip calls the plays. Although it would be a promotion in terms being in the NFL, it would also be sort of a demotion in that he wouldn't call plays or get any credit for the O.

Hmmmm... I seem to remember a certain, polarizing poster hinting about hires along these lines.
ETA: Although, I've heard from somebody that Otis isn't official, yet.
