I think we have a better shot at AJ Brown than you think. I know it is hard to pull these kids from Mississippi but the word around here and the Yancey Porter dude from Ole Miss is he is all Bama. Still have hope but guess I will believe it when I see it.

IF EJ does go, that's 2 jobs up for grabs. Thompson might be a little behind because they didn't settle on his position. Though since they moved him back, they might still see something in him opposed to some other guys there.
Switching him to WR had to either be because of his lack of size(he was smaller than listed) or they wanted to loosen him up running routes.
Plus you can learn a lot playing what you play against.

Some analyst are worried that if Gavin commits before Brown, the latter being considered a NSD decision, it might scare Brown away.

I do want to let it be known I'd prefer Brown like many, I think he'll be a star.
I read somewhere that Gavin is leaning Bama now going into his official. So I think if he pulls the trigger, it will be soon after. Otherwise I think he'll take his FSU official and recommit or at best hold out to NSD himself.

Me too. Seen him play many times and have coached against him in baseball . Kid is a beast.

We do expect Gavin to commit soon.
As for speculation earlier on Hootie Jones at S next year, he was mentioned as a primo transfer candidate this offseason. Surprisingly, Cam Sims was another one, although I expect him to come to his senses. He was in position to be very good before he was injured in the Spring. Coaches thought he was our best receiver at that time.

We're not really after many guys from Louisiana this year other than Shyheim Carter. We would love to get Dontavious Jackson and the RB that's committed to Ole Miss (Pennamon) who is extremely high on our board out of Texas. Don't think Mykel Jones is a take. Dejon Harris is a possibility. Lawrence and Bama have seemed to cool on each other. I'm probably. missing someone obvious.
