Bama3714 said it. repeatedly
He said in November he was told it was a done deal and prior to that he did say he would be shocked if he did not end up in our class.
In the end if you have been around recruiting long enough anyone that claims they have inside info and it did not come directly from the recruit is only guessing. Not one of these sites or so called insiders have a real clue. They guess at best with info out there and read between the lines. The small % that have info that comes directly from the recruit that info is good for at max 24 hours before it changes. That is why I never get into all this he lied, someone cheated, he was paid, or whatever.

The info I got about White is good info. I am shocked to hear of his arrest issues. Otherwise, I feel pretty good that he would have been ours.
Incidentally, how long is the statute of limitations in football recruiting? Five years from when they sign?

Again no one has inside info that 100%. And the arrest issues have nothing to do with it. If our staff really wanted him and he was an option we would have taken him plain and simple. We took Pettway back and what he was involved in was far worse. Not to mention we still went after Hill as well.
When you claim you have inside info and it does not pan out you just have to eat crow and not make excuses.
For the record I am glad you share your info but like I said earlier any info out there is good for maybe 24 hours before it changes.

I read on BOL a week or so ago that Saban was just happy with Emmons and really didn't want anymore RBs in this class being that we have 3 committed for 2017

I worry about only bringing in Emmons. We will have Bo and Harris in the spring and Emmons by June. I understand we have some other RBs but I do not see them contributing unless we have an injury. I would love to get another back or a FB/HB type in this class.
I guess the one saving grace is we are using the WRs now to run out of sweeps.

Really don't think the California kid will sign. The Mississippi kid will do like all Mississippi kids do. The other kid will sign though.

Just thinking out loud here for a moment... Mecole Hardman is listed at 5'10 165# ?
That is considerably smaller than Chris Black who could never get healthy playing against that Bama D everyday.
Just sayen.

Sure the arrest issues have something to do with it. Even LSU and Ole Miss fans aren't naive enough to think they have "nothing to do with it".

I disagree completely.
Jonathan Taylor wasn't even guilty, he just had a woman lie on him to spite him. Saban even lamented the fact he was innocent but due to the publicity of his first mistake(s) releasing him before gathering all the facts was unavoidable.
Saban went even further to state it doesn't change how he feels/thinks and he would support a player in a "situation" as long as they are showing they are doing to right things to change or better themselves.
I'm glad he does too. Too many people love to crucify these young guys for their mistakes. They need good leaders, NOT enablers or jailers.

I think he was guilty. Just think the girl tried to change her story when she found out he was getting kicked off the team because of what she told the police.

You think he is guilty because of what? Your gut? I thought this was a nation of innocent until proven guilty?
I don't buy that at all. I've seen too many females try to destroy past friends, teammates, etc using similar accusations/circumstances.

Everyone was still recruiting White up until he committed and our staff has shown time and again we will take someone with a past if they are willing to change.
What is naive is to believe every time a recruit picks another school over UA that something dirty, illegal, or whatever(including an arrest) was the reason they did not end up here. The simple fact is the majority of the recruits we offer just do not see UA as their best decision for their future. Hence why we offer so many.

I never said he couldn't commit to us.
Posted on 1/9/16 at 4:28 pm to Bama3714
He had slipped down our board a little due to the weight gain and questions about whether he could be a 3 down back. He still could have committed to us, but was considered more of a Fowler type than a second RB.
