Was reading a thread from two weeks ago from the Auburn mod predicting their 2015 class (article was linked to Tre Threat's profile)
A couple of interesting tidbits:
-They (the Aubs) have received more positive feedback from Ben Davis than from Mack Wilson. Niebuhr didn't predict either one to be in their class. He did predict Marlon Davidson to Auburn.
-He predicted that they would land PJ Blue, Tre threat, and Tre Lamar as their linebackers.

Not really sure what to make of this or if it is completely a family decision.

Looks like Mack Wilson and Davidson won't be attending the same school anymore.

Don't see how we miss on PJ Blue unless we slow play him. Kid seems very pro Bama.

Well he did say he was going to wait a while to commit.

Word around Montgomery on Davidson was this was indeed a family decision and there is a possibility he will transfer back to Carver for next season.

Tre Lamar wants to major in Civil Engineering. He would be wise to strongly consider Alabama will all of the money being pumped into facilities and research for the UA CoE. The Dean of Engineering worked wonders in recruiting DaShawn Hand. Let's see if he can do it again. But I'm a little biased with it comes to UA Civil Engineering.

Darius Whitfield is visiting UF this weekend. Says that he will take his decision down to NSD.

And follow his brother to Alabama.

I sure hope so. We've got a lot of legacies this year. I hope we can keep them all home:
-Ben Davis
-Cavin Ridley
-Darius Whitfield
-Shawn Jennings
Just off the top of my head. Three of them being in-state.

This story was originally published on ScoutFootball.com.
Khalan Laborn’s recruitment is gaining momentum. The 2017 Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes running back spoke with Scout about his recruitment, future and more.
A few weeks ago, Khalan Laborn picked up seven scholarship offers in a single day.
Then Alabama and Auburn pulled the trigger yesterday.
Along with the two aforementioned schools, Arizona State, Charlotte, Florida State, Ohio State, Old Dominion, Rutgers, Tennessee, Virginia and Virginia Tech have all offered the 5-foot-9, 193-pound Laborn.
”Honestly, the past few weeks have been amazing,” he said.
Alabama was the first to offer yesterday.
”They offered me around noon,” Laborn said. “It means a lot and I feel so blessed to have them as one of my choices.
”I like a lot about them – their history, their players and their coaches.”

Auburn was next.
”I called the coaches and they offered. The offer also means a lot and it’s an honor to have them as one of my choices as well.
”I like their running backs they’ve had in the past and I also like their coaches.”
Laborn doesn’t have any visits set, but hopes to take some in the near future.
He claims no favorites at this time.

Alabama, Auburn among leaders for elite linebacker Tre Lamar
Tre Lamar

One of the top linebackers in the country has Alabama and Auburn in his top group.
Four-star prospect Tre Lamar of Roswell, Ga., traveled to Tuscaloosa Feb. 28 before checking out Auburn March 7, and seemed to enjoy both visits. The Tide and Tigers are in his current group of leaders, in addition to Clemson, Florida and Tennessee in no particular order.
While at Auburn, the 6-foot-4, 240-pounder had the opportunity to catch up with new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp.
"The visit was awesome," he said. "They like my size and the fact that I can move and play sideline-to-sideline. They see me as either a Mike or Will linebacker in this scheme, and I run a 3-4 at my high school and play Mike there, so it's definitely something I'm comfortable with. What (Muschamp) wants from his players and the schemes they run and how I fit into that was really important to me."
Lamar hopes to return to the Plains this spring to watch a practice. He said the Tigers are recruiting him "pretty hard," and was also impressed with the school's engineering program.
"I want a good engineering program because I want to study civil engineering," he said. "I didn't know they had such a good engineering school going into this visit. Hearing about it definitely increased my interest in Auburn, so that's awesome."
Lamar's trip to Tuscaloosa was his third since his recruiting process began.
"It went really well," Lamar told Rivals. "I really enjoyed it. Talking with Coach (Kirby) Smart the whole visit was really cool. I talked with Coach (Nick) Saban. To be able to get an in-depth look at the civil engineering department was really cool. I really like the academic support they have there."
The Tide is also recruiting Lamar as a Mike linebacker, and he's impressed with the winning culture at Alabama and the NFL players the program has produced.
"They have had a lot of great linebackers come out of Alabama," he said. "They work closely with Coach Smart. They've had guys like Rolando McClain and C.J. Mosley. I think they are great coaches. They know what they want and what details to focus on."

4-star quarterback Ervin 'Woody' Barrett ready for visits to Alabama, Auburn
One of the top prep quarterbacks in the country will be making trips to Alabama and Auburn this weekend.
Ervin "Woody" Barrett, a 6-foot-2, 213-pound dual-threat quarterback from West Orange (Fla.) High School, is leaving Friday from Orlando with his coach, Bob Head, and three teammates.
The group will visit Alabama on Friday and then head to Auburn for the rest of the weekend.
Barrett has indicated in the past that the two Iron Bowl rivals stand out, according to 247Sports.
"He's excited," Head told AL.com. "He's been to Auburn. He knows what it's like and one of his good friends, Tony Stevens, is on the roster.
"He knows a couple of boys there. Alabama, he's so intrigued by Nick Saban, the tradition, the success. HaHa Clinton-Dix, Dee Hart, those boys from our area went there and came back and said how they loved it, the phenomenal coaching, facilities and atmosphere. They're excited to get on and see the campus."
Barrett is a four-star quarterback on the 247Sports composite rankings, and rated as the No. 7 dual-threat quarterback.
"I'd love to see the people in front of him," Head said. "He's a beast. He's a man. We play the best competition in the country. We're 8A football. We play Who's Who down here and that guy plays at a high level.
"He's 6-3, 230, he's like a dang Mike (line)backer playing quarterback. He's like that Nick Marshall kid, a really, really big physical kid. He has a really strong arm. He needs to become more accurate and needs to be a better quarterback per se, but a really strong runner. He has really good instincts. He has a pretty good release. Still working on it, but he's just a real dynamic player."
Schools like Louisville, Clemson, Oregon, Miami and Florida have also offered Barrett. Florida State has not offered, but Head said he didn't think Barrett would go to FSU.
"He wants to leave the state," Head said. "Shoot yeah, they're (Alabama) all over him. Auburn's been on him because they were down here recruiting Chandler Cox and Martez Ivey so hard."
Head is taking Barrett along with three teammates - receiver Eddie McDoom, offensive linemen Terrell Tolbert and Stone Forsythe.
Head said he thought both schools could offer McDoom, a three-star recruit with multiple offers, after seeing him in person.

From the Aubs. Thanks, ellitor

Notes per AUC & AUR
-QB order probably is Pass, Barrett, then Kendall (AUR). AUR also said a couple days ago that Kendall is a take so it's likely 1st come 1st serve
-Pass & Barrett visiting this weekend
-Staff very high on 4* RB/LB Devin White
-Recruiting him at RB but sources says AU likes him so much that DW can play wherever he wants at AU
-DW prefers RB but will got to a school at LB if he loves the school (all per AUC)
-Still evaluating PJ Blue at safety (All per AUC)
-AU likely leads big for top 50 overall 2017 RB Alaric Williams who is visiting this weekend (AUR)

Per Allie we offered 3* ATH Jay Jones at QB. Top 3 AU, Bama, UF & all have offered. Per JLee in The War Room Jones wants to play QB & AU offered him there 1st but believe he'd find the field a lot faster catching the ball than throwing it.
Per BMatt Woody Barrett is loving his visit & has a top 3 no order of AU, Bama, tOSU. Per Keith he & his teammates will stay in AU overnight.
