TI said an hour or so ago that there was speculation he would delay his announcement 24 hours, and that he would have initially announced for Oregon, but CNS and Kiffin have given him something to think about. Might have to wait until tomorrow.

Any chance Pineiro decommitted just so he can make the big announcement and recommits to Bama. I can hope can't I?

His coach put on his Twitter that Pineiro is still announcing tomorrow. Kind of ruins the suspense when he decommits from one school.
Also, our offering of a kicker (even if only a walk-on spot) minutes after Pineiro decommits shows our coaching staff isn't confident in getting Pineiro back.

Good news is that getting a walk-on instead of a scholarship kicker allows us to sign another de/lb.
Bad news is that no highly ranked DEs/LBs want to play for Alabama.

I hope this is like the time that we offered Aazar Abdul Rahim a job thinking it could help us get Jalen Tabor. Only this time Oregon plays the Alabama role.

That may be true but a QB is only as good as his kicker and we have the #1 juco kicker committed.
