Now that they have Coach Eaux, they will never lose another recruiting battle again.

Stefon Diggs discussing his brother's recruitment:

The elder Diggs joined SportsTalk Live Tuesday night on CSN to put into context the recruitment of his brother and where Maryland might stand.
“I’m not pushing anything hard on him,” the Vikings rookie said.
“I want him to make the best decision for him. We sat down and talked about it. We will continue to sit down and talk about it. It’s about what he wants to do and I want what’s best for him.”

The Scout Spotlight is a high-quality video series on the nation's top college football recruits, including Kileen (Tex.) Shoemaker five-star Kendell Jones, Alabama's top-ranked verbal commitment in the class of 2016.
In this 60-second, exclusive Spotlight video, you'll see firsthand what makes Jones the nation's No. 16 overall prospect -- and you'll learn what he's like off the field.
Jones says he best describes his game as "dominant" and details the foundation of his favorite type of play, which is designed for the senior to occupy multiple blockers and collapse the interior of the opposing offensive line. Several video examples are simultaneously shown in the Spotlight.

How many 5* DBs are in the 2016 class?
Posted on 8/13/15 at 2:01 pm to MontyFranklyn
In the composite, there are four five star DBs. One committed to FSU, two committed to LSU, and one a UTx and TAMU battle.
Of course, a lot can change before senior seasons. Nigel Warrior is one I'd watch for potential (Bama) bump. I would have said Knott, too, but with the injury that doesn't look likely.

I know people question how Bama is able to sign so many 5*s, but I think that LSU being able to sign so many 5* DBs is far more impressive.

Now the question for Hugh Freeze and staff is: can Ole Miss win a "major" or two in the Lone Star state in the Class of 2016? Headed into the season, the Rebels sit in just the position to do that, including with five-star offensive tackle Greg Little.
Here is a look at where the Rebels stand with the top targets remaining in Texas.
Greg Little, OT
ESPN 300 ranking: No. 2-overall
On July 13 when Little decommitted from Texas A&M, fans of Alabama and Ole Miss were very excited -- and for good reason. Though Little was already making unofficial visits to schools and well under 100 percent with his pledge to the Aggies, officially opening up his recruitment was very good news for the competition. In the case of the Rebels, teammate Jaylon Jones is in the fold, and there is a comfort with the program along with opportunity with tackle Laremy Tunsil expected to enter the NFL draft following the 2015 season. Alabama provides serious competition, and Texas A&M is not waiving the white flag with a decision possible in November.
Ole Miss percentage for Little as of August 13: 50 percent

Tyrie Cleveland, WR
ESPN 300 ranking: No. 60
The 2016 Under Armour All-America Game selection on Wednesday released the five schools he plans to officially visit, with Ole Miss making the cut.
Though Ole Miss is certainly in the mix, the Rebels have work to do here as Texas A&M and Arizona State are considered the favorites, with a decision possible before the end of September.
Ole Miss percentage for Cleveland as of August 13: 15 percent

It was less than a month ago that Houston (Texas) Alief Elsik linebacker Dontavious Jackson released a Top 12 list, pulling from an offer count that was close to 50 Division I programs. And while the 6-foot-2, 237-pound Jackson has not yet publicly narrowed the list down, he did mention at the Houston Touchdown Club Dinner that he had been thinking about it.
Analysis: Jackson is a true middle linebacker and brings to the table the skills you are looking for at the position. He's a pretty physical player and has good size to stand up to down to down punishment in the middle of a defense. He diagnoses the play quickly and is tough to block. He gets downhill quickly, showing great vertical quickness to get to ball carriers. He is at his best against the run. He runs through tackles and is a sure finisher. - GP
“I announced my Top 12 (Alabama, Florida State, Fresno State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas, UCLA). But in my head, I’ve been breaking it down slowly. You know I’m going to be one of those National Signing Day guys,” Jackson said. “I want to keep things kind of a mystery.”

DeAngelo Gibbs might be the top junior cornerback in the country, according to college football scouts. The Peachtree Ridge standout might also be the best player in Georgia, regardless of grade level. Watch Gibbs in practice. Star rankings can be chucked by that chain-link fence. No. 8 in blue glides more than he labors. It is always five yards in two steps, but he’s got at least one more gear left.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder is wearing hardly any pads below his waist, but it still looks like it. Gibbs is what a guy with two uncles who played for 12 (Jake Reed) and 14 (Dale Carter) seasons in the NFL should look like on a varsity practice field.
What schools sit well with Peachtree Ridge junior right now?
“There’s so much more out there that I still need to see,” Gibb said. “I can honestly say I haven’t see everything that’s out there yet to narrow any of it down.

B/R gives odds on landing Marlon Davidson:

Alabama: 3-to-1
The Crimson Tide can't be counted out in any head-to-head recruiting showdown with the Tigers, evidenced by the 2014 heist of heralded hometown Auburn linebacker Rashaan Evans.
If Davidson ends up teaming up with "The Trio" for years to come, it would almost certainly only take place in Tuscaloosa. While both Davis and Wilson are still exploring other opportunities, both linebackers are considered heavy Alabama leans. Davidson recently visited the Crimson Tide and shares a strong bond with Alabama linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton, a former Carver High School star.
"Getting back up there to see the campus and the environment, it was great," he told Champlin. "They want to get me up there because they need more defensive ends like me. They really just truly trying to get me."
Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban, a four-time national champion who signed No. 1 recruiting classes the past five years, often gets what he wants. Davidson could end up out of reach, but it won't be for lack of trying in Tuscaloosa.

Dont crush the swamp aggies dream on the recruiting board. Their mods are feeding them a bunch of bs and they are so excited about their recruiting staff. They need something to be happy about since Miles is their head coach. Instead why not balloon up their hopes making it even more fun to pop later on. Tell them how worried you are and how Alabama kids are finally finding out what a gem of the campus LSU is. How they will probably go to LSU now.

Every year with them they build up these ridiculous NSD expectations, and are continually disappointed when they don't come to fruition. Last year was Cece, year before 545, etc.
They have very good classes that they should be happy with, but instead they always end up fixated on some recruits that don't sign.

GA made the cut with Terrance Davis, the nation’s No. 2 offensive guard out of Maryland. He released his top five schools on Thursday. The AJC has learned that this is not his final Top 5, but simply his current Top 5 schools at this time.
The other schools to make the top five for Davis were Maryland, Alabama, Michigan, UCLA, according to Rivals.com’s Adam Friedman.
That is also a pretty big deal because Davis’ high school teammate is Anthony McFarland, a 5-star running back for 2017 and one of UGA’s main targets in next year’s recruiting class. Both Davis and McFarland were at UGA’s Dawg Night camp in July. Davis told the AJC that he will take an official visit to UGA in December.

Most Important Commit of Each Top 25 College Football Recruiting Class
Jonah Williams:
This 6'5", 296-pound lineman graded out as the top overall 2016 offensive recruit in California during our film study. Alabama, already loaded with All-American talent along the offensive front, is set to add another imposing figure.
Jonah Williams spent his junior season protecting record-setting quarterback and current Washington Huskies freshman Jake Browning at Folsom High School. Equipped to dominate at either tackle position, he exhibits tremendous athleticism and a physical frame that doesn't require much of a makeover for college competition.
"I've been training intensely since middle school, and I plan to continue that routine," Williams told Matt Long of The Folsom Telegram. "I always want to gain muscle weight and trim fat, while remaining mobile and well-conditioned."
He could become the heir apparent to replace Cam Robinson, a former 5-star recruit who started at left tackle for the Crimson Tide as a true freshman and should be playing on Sundays in 2017.
