He went with Terrell Hall on their recruiting trip to Bama.

Also, apparently Terrell Hall wore Bama gear to an OSU event while he was still committed. This was right after his Bama visit in which he did not let the OSU staff he was making. They are all very ate up about it on Buckeye Planet. He must be one heck of a player.

We need to make room for the east coast guys IMO. Get Hall, Abdul Adams, and Diggs. That would be great.

The mother of the nation’s No. 1 player, Rashan Gary, loves UGA but she has one major concern with the school. “I know they run a 3-4 defense, and I don’t know how good that would be for my son,” Jennifer Coney told the AJC. “In that three-person line, their job is to hold the offensive line so the linebackers can come in to make the tackle. Well, how is Rashan supposed to shine in a 3-4? A 4-3 defense is what I prefer. It’s OK for him to play in a 3-4, only if they rotate in a 4-3. I just don’t see how playing in a 3-4 defense would benefit him.”

Someone has been in moms head. People throw that 3-4 shite on us all the time when we are in the 4-3 most of the time.

Yet they're on a visit to LSU, which is moving to the 3-4 as well.

He is going to end up like Mario Edwards for FSU. Shouldve either played DT in 4-3 or DE in 3-4 but wanted to be a DE in 4-3 SMH.

The problem is the mom is already looking towards the NFL. Interior lineman don't get much pub in the league, but JJ Watt any others do. I know JJ plays in a 3-4, but he gets pub. They probably want him to get hype like Clowney. Plus, when was the last time an interior lineman taken 1st in the draft? The are being sold based on what they already want.

Clowney was the last

JJ Watt would still be a nasty DE in a 4 man as a 5 tech, he's that good...he's the level of Deacon Jones and Reggie White, just gotta know how to move your weight around.

Ndamukong Suh also got a lot of pub and was close to being 1st, NFL just undervalues the interior DL positions, but guys like Dareus, my man Gerald McCoy (who was the best 4-3 DT this past yr) can be difference makers on a defense

I wish we had TreyA right now to ask whether or not Michigan will be switching to a 3-4 with Harbaugh.......he was an architect of the zone stack killing spread O's at SF but you gotta have great ILBs

Mag any idea if Harbaugh is ambitious enough to switch to the 3-4 this year yet?

I dont read a lot of NFL news bc im way more of a CF fan. But i read something not too long ago that the Texans were trying to use Clowney as a jack LB of sorts. But he was having to learn to play the position. Its a shame he didnt choose a school to prepare him better for this. But then would have have still been drafted #1? I guess being a pure pass rusher gives you a lot of individual stats. But when you are out of place on plays and offenses are scheming for you you arent as productive. And really probably hurting your team. Its like when people wish Bama would get more sacks. What they dont realize is bum rushing the QB like that every play would give up a lot more on the ground and in the screen pass game. Some thing we have been very productive at taking away.

I said interior lineman. Clowney is not an interior lineman.

A big-time player in Alabama will come off the board very soon. One of the smartest in the state.

ETA Gators land S out of Alabama. Lots of in-state talent this year.

The tweet cut off at the very end. The hashtag was supposed to be #ESPN300, which might mean that there were 76 decommits just in the ESPN300 in 2015.

We benefitted from 4 in the 300: Blake Barnett, Damien Harris, Adonis Thomas, Daylon Charlot (committed to us, decommitted, recommitted),

We lost out on six: Leo Lewis, Jonathan Ledbetter, Ricky Town, Rico McGraw, Isaiah Prince, TD Moton.

13% of the ESPN 300 decommits involved Alabama, be it by flipping to, or flipping from.

Kind of a crazy stat when you think about all the teams that are out there.
