Was one of the top players at camp. Won the LB MVP of Atlanta's version of The Opening camp.

I complained heavily a couple of days ago because I feel Alabama is taking to many 3-Stars too early. Then, Nick takes a Rivals 2-Star LB Cole. Well played Saban, well played.....

I don't get how you go to a the opening camp win MVP and don't get invited to the opening lol.

Are people really questioning Saban's recruiting?
Jesus Christ we have become way too spoiled.

Maybe they found animal sex gifs on his phone, I figured he might be distracted while in Beaverton.

So Riley Cole only beat out both Mack Wilson and Ben Davis to win the LB MVP award in Atlanta.

Hes one of those super athletic olb types. Plays te as well, supposedly has a 4.6 40 and a 35.5 vert. Similar to holcombe

He needs to get bigger and stronger. But, two things are apparent. He can RUN. And if ILB doesn't work out for him, he could make one heck of an H-back.

A friend of mine won the accuracy award at Harbaugh's Prattville camp. Does anybody know if that's impressive? I don't know exactly what kind of competition was there.

He's getting all of this credit for a cutting edge idea, when Greg Schiano was doing this years ago while he was at Rutgers. He held camps annually in south Florida.

Around 500 high school athletes braved the wet conditions, but only 11 earned invites Nike's prestigious The Opening at the Atlanta Regional on Sunday at Buford High School.
There could be more invites from this regional later on. There are 13 regionals around the country full of highly-recruited athletes hoping to earn spots at the event, which will be held in Beaverton, Ore., in July.
"It's exciting and a blessing more than anything," quarterback Jawon Pass said. "I'm just thankful to get the invite. I came out here and competed. It was tough, but we had to fight through (the weather.)"
Said Starkville, Miss., receiver A.J. Brown, "It's a great experience. I'm loving this (invitation) card right here."
Several top recruits from the state of Alabama performed, and could get invites later. That group included 5-star linebackers Ben Davis (Gordo), Lyndell Wilson (Carver-Montgomery), running back Malik Miller (Madison Academy), athlete Tadarryl Marshall (Leeds), receiver T.J. Simmons (Clay-Chalkville), tight end Jamal Couch (Central-Phenix City), cornerback John Broussard (Central-Phenix City) and many more.
Defensive end Marlon Davidson, who transferred from Carver-Montgomery back to Greenville High earlier this month, was at the regional watching, but was not a participant. The five-star Davidson was wearing an Alabama sweatshirt, but maintained he is still wide open in his recruitment. Davidson participated in the Rivals camp on Saturday.
Here are the players who earned invites to The Opening.
QB Jawon Pass - Columbus, Ga. - The five-star recruit is considering Alabama, Auburn, North Carolina and others and hopes to make a decision this summer.
QB Malik Henry - Thousand Oaks, Calif. - Henry, a five-star Florida State commit, is now at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
WR Freddie Swain - Citra, Fla. - The four-star receiver has Florida out in front of offers from Miami, Alabama and Tennessee.
WR A.J. Brown - Starkville, Miss. - The four-star recruit told AL.com after the event that Alabama was recruiting him the hardest.
WR Dillon Mitchell - Memphis - The four-star Mitchell has been committed to Oregon for several months, but said Alabama is coming on strong.
WR DeKaylin Metcalf - Oxford, Miss. - Metcalf, a four-star, has been committed to Ole Miss for nearly two years.
OL E.J. Price - Lawrenceville, Ga. - The four-star offensive tackle, who recently transferred to Archer High, said Sunday that Auburn has fallen out of his top five and Alabama is picking up some steam. He has around 10 schools in the mix and hopes to fully narrow it down soon.
DL Antwuan Jackson - Ellenwood, Ga. - The four-star has an older brother at South Carolina, but is also considering Alabama and Auburn, among others.
DB Saivion Smith - Bradenton, Fla. - Smith, a five-star recruit at the IMG Academy, recently committed to LSU.
DB Nigel Warrior - Atlanta, Ga. - The four-star safety is considering Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia and others.
DB Khalil Ladler - Bradenton, Fla. - Ladler, a four-star recruit, is conserving Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and others.
Others were named positional MVPs.
Josh Imatorbhebhe, a four-star receiver from Suwanee, Ga., earned the Nike Football SPARQ rating MVP. He ran a 4.58 in the 40-yard dash, a 4.37 in the shuttle, had a vertical jump of 44.2 inches and his power throw was 37.5 feet.
QB - Malik Henry
RB - Elijah Holyfield - The Atlanta native is a high priority for Auburn and most predictions think he'll end up a Tiger.
WR - Freddie Swain
OL - Tremayne Anchrum - The four-star tackle from Powder Springs, Ga., has offers from Nebraska, Arizona State and several schools outside the power conferences.
DL - Antwuan Jackson
LB - Riley Cole - The three-star recruit from Oneonta High School in Alabama doesn't have any offers listed on his 247Sports profile, but recently took trips to Indiana and Kentucky.
DB - Jameyst Williams - The four-star recruit from Archer High School in Lawrenceville, Ga., has offers from Clemson, Auburn and a host of schools from conferences outside the power five.
