If Prince had taken all his visits and then decided no fans would be sore over this. But it is what it is.

The University of Alabama announced on Monday that the A-Day game will be held on April 18 and will kickoff at 2 p.m. CT. Television air times will be announced at a later date.

The A-Day game is the 15th and final practice for the spring and as in the past, admission into the game will be free. More details will be posted on RollTide.com when they become available.

Alabama leads the nation in spring game attendance over the last eight years with a total of 668,357 fans and an average of 83,545 fans per game during that period. The largest A-Day crowd in school history came in 2011 (92,310). In head coach Nick Saban’s first year of 2007, the stadium was at full capacity prior to expansion (92,138). Last year’s crowd of 73,506 was the largest in the country.

Alabama’s permanent team captains from the 2014 football season (Blake Sims, Jalston Fowler, Landon Collins, and Amari Cooper) will also put their hand and cleat prints near Denny Chimes.

This will also be the fans first chance to take a look at the quarterbacks that will be competing for the starting signal caller for the 2015 season.

National Signing Day will start bright and early at 8:30 a.m. where WR Daylon Charlot will choose which school he will attend.

At 9 a.m., the action continues prospect Byron Cowart will choose between Auburn, Florida, and Florida State.

To finish out the mid-afternoon announcements, three prospects will announce their decision, beginning with #14 overall prospect Defensive End CeCe Jefferson.

Jefferson will, like many others, have Auburn, Florida, and Florida State in the mix, but is also considering Alabama, LSU, and Ole Miss.

Lot of "could be" conversations happening yesterday and today on coaching staffs across the country.

* This guy "could be" a real player. We should take him (talking self into taking a fall back plan).
* This guy "could be" in play. His commitment to University of X is not strong. (the "reach for it" play)
* This guy "could be" a grade risk, we may need to have another guy at his spot.
* This guy "could be" considering flipping from us.

One thing about Bama's staff that is comforting, they're having way fewer "could be" chats than most staffs. They may be reaching for a guy at this stage, but we've learned they get few negative surprises this time of year.

Uh oh, I want to see the lsu fans reaction to this, just a few weeks ago they went apeshit when this happened to their new coach by a Bama fan hacking. It was a huge thread on how Bama fans are giant pos for it. May be time to bump that thread.

They basically said Bama, Auburn, Florida, and Ole Miss are still in the mix. Wouldnt be a surprise if he chose any of those schools other than Auburn.

I wish I - or anyone else - had your confidence on CeCe. I think Bama is definitely in it, but to say he's a "lock" is a bit of a stretch.

I think with Bell taking the GS, it's clear staff expects more commitments to come in than simply the LOIs for our current commits. Possible finish to justify the GS request:

CeCe
Hill
Charlot
COV (yep, I said it)
Wildcard

Minkah has been in contact with FSU Saturday,Sunday, and Monday. He hasnt informed the FSU staff where he's going. Newberg expects Minkah to do so within the next couple of hours.

Bell getting the greyshirt could also have something to do with the 85 count, not nessecarily having to do with getting more commitments. I hope it does though.

I guess I find it hard to get to upset over a teenager who is not exactly sure on how to make one of his biggest decisions of his life. I mean how many of us have come to that crossroad and decided without any hesitation. It is not easy and why so many people are in places they would prefer not to be because they could not commit.

And I am not judging because I get frustrated by the occurrence but have come to realize now until they sign they are not committed to any school. Recruiting is pure entertainment and I try to enjoy it like I would a sitcom or drama, depending on what s trending, and not get wrapped up in to it.

It could, but you've already had two players publicly state they are leaving, and there will likely be 2-3 more after spring.

This is concerning, no doubt, but Minkah does have a lot of family in Alabama. His dad's side is actually from Bama and, I believe, are Bama fans. We may have to sweat it out, but I think he ultimately sticks to the place he's wanted to be for a long time (dude committed nearly a year ago for goodness sake)

I tend to agree here. Because him taking a grayshirt with the hope he signs with us next year usually has him back counting into a spot for this years class.
