After watching the Elite 50 footage I hope the staff keeps Robertson at WR. He whipped every DB he went against.

Frick, he has a sister? UGA lock. They'll find room on their basketball/track/waterpolo/whateverthehellshewantstoplay team.

on the 2016 note, slow playing Mack Wilson puzzles me. We take guys that don't jump off the tape ever year. (bell, moton, dwight, smith recently)
There has to room for him, but we'll slow play, he'll commit to auburn and blow up his senior year and then we'll try to turn up the heat late in the game. I just don't get it.
A) he could turn into a good player here
B) you keep him away from Auburn
Felt the same way about Kwon Alexander. Granted I don't think Kwon would have ever started in our base defense, he would have played a lot of snaps in nickel and dime here

I hope so as well, especially with what safeties they have lined up compared to WRs.
Guy had 9 TDs in his first 19 touches this season.

To be fair, she actually has talent. State record setter in basketball and track. Shanetris Robertson.

We have to do whatever it takes to keep Robertson, he is unreal. I agree that you don't waste him on defense.

Tide's early enrollees have arrived...
With classes for the spring semester at Alabama starting on Wednesday, six of the Crimson Tide's commits from their top-ranked recruiting class are getting a head start on their college careers by foregoing their final semester of high school and enrolling early at the Capstone in order to participate in the Tide's off-season strength and conditioning program and spring practice.
The talented group of Tide early enrollees are:
QB Blake Barnett (Corona, Calif./ Santiago)
DB Deionte Thompson (Orange, Texas/ West Orange-Stark)
DB Ronnie Harrison (Tallahassee, Fla./ Florida State Univ. School)
OL Dallas Warmack (Atlanta, Ga./ Mays)
OL Brandon Kennedy (Wetumpka, Ala./ Wetumpka)
RB Desherrius Flowers (Mobile, Ala./ Vigor)
One more potential early enrollee, five-star WR Calvin Ridley (Pompano Beach/ Monarch), is waiting on a final approval from the clearinghouse before he can join his classmates and enroll at the Capstone.

no way two of those guys are Warmack and Kennedy

Good to have Kennedy and Warmack jr as EE's and of course Barnett. I think Ronnie and Dieonte are gonna have potentially the greatest early impact with S being a wide open competition. Hope Calvin makes it in early but I'm not holding my breath

my big concern about Ridley is him staying out of trouble and staying in shape. We know he's too old to play HS ball anymore, but will he still be attending school?
I know if 19-year-old-me was living in South Florida with little to do, I'd be in all kinds of shite.

Chef from BOL thinks as of right now Damien Harris commits to Bama. Hope he doesnt have in state pressure but I almost forgot he was once committed to Michigan at one point.

His situation is different than most 19 year olds still in high school. His family moved here from Cuba so he started school late. By all accounts he is a great kid, just older. I don't think he has ever gotten into any trouble. During the UA Game they showed him putting together a bike for a kid whose family couldn't afford to buy him one.
His brother is already 18 and is only a Junior.

- On the offensive line, Chidi Valentine-Okeke was one of the pleasant surprises of the week. Raw but athletic, we were encouraged by how quickly the four-star picked things up and how coachable he was. Also on the offensive line, we liked what we saw out of Auburn commit Kaleb Kim when he wasn’t struggling with his new role as a snapper. The snapping part of it Kim was slow to perfect but the blocking end of things saw the Georgia native really excel. Finally, on the offensive line, Chuma Edoga is probably a guard long term. He can play tackle due to his athleticism but at his size, he’s not the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country and is more aptly ranked as a guard.

BOL just posted a story with 15 predictions for Alabama in 2015. I found this one particularly depressing:
quote:
9. UA will not finish the 2015-16 recruiting cycle with the No. 1 class.
Since finishing fifth nationally in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings in 2010, Alabama has reeled off four straight team recruiting championships and is in line for a fifth for 2015. The competition may be at a all-time high for the 2015-2016 cycle with the reemergence of traditional national recruiting powers Tennessee and Texas along with the SEC having as strong of a group of recruiters as it has enjoyed perhaps ever. The Tide will once again have a top five class but someone will dethrone them at the top.

I do like this one though:
Interdasting on the Broussard thing.
quote:
13. The Tide will land the top three in-state prospects for 2016.
The Alabama in-state class for 2016 is already loaded, and at the top are two of the top defenders in the country in linebackers Lyndell Wilson and Ben Davis. While there is not a slam-dunk #3 candidate yet, BOL believes the Tide stands in good enough shape with some of the top prospects that the Tide will pull of the trifecta and sweep the top three players in the state. One name to watch is cornerback John Broussard who was once thought to be an Auburn lean but the Tide has made some headway here.
Interdasting on the Broussard thing.
