I agree. I think he is a better fit at guard or RT but I think he may end up being our best option at LT (at least for a year). Sorta like when Barrett had to play LT for a year.

True. But one reason BJ was so successful at LT was because he was a fourth year Junior with insane football IQ. I don't doubt that Grant Hill is a smart kid, I just don't want our QB getting stripped sacked from his blindside in the fourth quarter.

Doesn't matter at the end of the day who plays, the staff will likely pick the best option. Until then, it is interesting to try and figure it out.

Agreed. I don't have a clue. As far as I know, they may have Harrison at the training table as we type.

I was wondering that too. Maybe there's a pre-existing relationship though I can't imagine how

We lead for DE Kengera Daniel. However, both of his parents attended Florida State. I assume they would be tough to beat if they offered.

See my previous post.He is not even the best back on his high school team. The 10th grader is who we need to wrap up early.

We still need to land Johnson though. He could be an elite safety.

He may visit this weekend if his basketball team doesn't advance in the playoffs.

I can see this. But didn't he say he wants to play RB?

Then he probably shouldn't go to Alabama, Florida State or Auburn.

Florida State is favored for at least 2 other elite RBs in the Crystal Ball predictions and Auburn is too.

Not to mention all three schools signed a 5-star RB in last year's class.

Florida State is favored for RBs Jordan Scarlett (even though he is committed to FAU presently) and Jacques Patrick.

Auburn supposedly leads for Eric Swinney, Traveon Samuel and Keith Mixon.

Interestingly enough, we still hold the lead in CB predictions for Kerryon Johnson.

I've heard some questions on whether Kerryon is durable. He seems to have already taken a beating against somewhat inferior competition.

He doesn't need to play RB then. They already have the shortest careers of any position in the NFL.

Free content from Al.com:

quote:

Over the next few weeks, we'll be taking a look at some of the top recruiting targets at each position group for the Crimson Tide for the Class of 2015. Today, we take a look at five of Alabama's top prospects at the wide receiver position, all of whom happen to be ranked among the top overall prospects in the nation by the major recruiting services.

Preston Williams
6-foot-5, 205 lbs
Lovejoy HS/Hampton, GA

Since committing to Tennessee in September of 2013, Williams has received piles of new scholarship offers from other suitors, and it's easy to see why. His combination of size and athleticism is rare at the high school level and plenty of schools around the SEC and elsewhere are hoping to pick off the elite target from Butch Jones' 2015 class. Alabama is one of several schools still chasing Williams, along with South Carolina, Florida and Auburn, and the Tide will host the five-star receiver this weekend for junior day.

Alex Ofodile
6-foot-3, 185 lbs
Rock Bridge HS/Columbia, MO

The state of Missouri's top prospect for 2015 has received most of his recruiting attention from the home state Tigers so far along with Kentucky and Arkansas, but February has seen a burst of new offers for the big, speedy playmaker including Notre Dame, Ohio State and Alabama. Ofodile's father is a former Mizzou tight end so pulling him away from the Tigers will be an interesting challenge for the Crimson Tide staff.

Jayson Stanley
6-foot-2, 198 lbs
Creekside HS/Fairburn, GA

One of the fastest-rising receiver prospects in the country, Stanley has seen his stock explode this spring, picking up offers from Auburn, Cal, Purdue and most recently Alabama. The Georgia receiver's recruitment could be shaping up to become an Alabama vs. Auburn battle.

Christian Kirk
5-foot-10, 195 lbs
Saguaro HS/Scottsdale, AZ

Rated the nation's No. 2 wide receiver by the 247Composite rankings, this Arizona native is being recruited by more than a dozen major programs, including Texas A&M, Ohio State and Georgia. Kirk has cited his respect for Lane Kiffin and his relationships with several of Alabama's 2014 signees as pluses for Alabama.

Daylon Charlot
6-foot, 177 lbs
Patterson HS/Patterson, LA

Alabama landed an early commitment from this Louisiana standout during the Crimson Tide's first junior day of the year but the recruiting process is far from over. If LSU decides to make a push, the home state school could make things difficult for the Tide.

I'm inclined to agree. I was surprised we took him so early after I watched his soph film. Watched his junior film yesterday and... I don't want to bash the kid because he clearly has talent but I was a little underwhelmed. Someone said CNS saw him at a Vigor practice and said "now there's a football player". I'm thinking he could wind up on D.
