Who would y'all rather have? Sheffield or Fitz?
Posted on 11/7/14 at 11:14 am to Patton
Fitz. No doubt. He's a more physical corner. My butt would hurt if we lose him.

I say we convince Sheffield to commit on NSD and tell him to commit after Minkah faxes his paperwork in lol. Honestly tho, I thought minkah was a an EE

Also if we land sheffield, we will have Thompson, Brown, Sheffield, Maurice Smith from Texas in the secondary. And then A'shawn as well.

Neither Sheffield nor Fitzpatrick are an early enrollee.

How do yall think marlon will do next year after redshirting? I think jackson and brown start at corner and cyrus becomes star. Humphrey gets into the CB rotation.

Saban won't bench Cyrus next year unless he really screws up.

Cyrus might take on the Javy Arenas role. LCB in base and Star in Nickel

I don't know why these guys are soo eager to move Cyrus Jones. He wont take Maurice Smiths job. He will be starting at CB next year and will be better than this year. You guys love wanting to say Marlon and Browns name but Brown struggles right now and Marlon will when he gets his shot as well so just be patient.

I see we offered Calvin Ridley's brother. Were we worried or is he that good?
Posted on 11/7/14 at 7:40 pm to Tide or Die87
We've offered Cavin Ridley.

His grades are pretty terrible, but he is a legit talent. Some Miami people have said that he might be better than his brother (and that was before Calvin Ridley committed to Bama, so the comments aren't just butthurt)

@DavidCMorrison: Helias wins the class 4, district 7 title over Mexico, 47-0, moves to 11-1 on the year. Hale Hentges had 145 yards, 2 TD on 7 catches.
@DavidCMorrison: Hale Hentges says he's "still really solid" to Alabama, but gets along with MU's staff and doesn't mind them coming down for chats.

From the Auburn recruiting thread:

Here is the FWIW of all FWIWs. I don't believe it personally but still interesting to share.
Mike Farrell posted in The Bunker today that he was told from a "legit source" that AU currently leads for Daron Payne because of the likelihood of playing earlier at AU.
Now balance that with this. DP has only been to 1 AU game while planning to be at his 3rd Bama game this season later for the Iron Bowl. Also DP has said repeatedly he has the best relationship with the Bama staff and they have recruited him the hardest.
I hope Farrell is right but it sure doesn't look like it to me.

Only two college QBs have at least seven TDs and no interceptions in their last three games:
Blake Sims, Alabama
Brad Kaaya, Miami

Random tidbits from the FSU247 chat earlier this week:
-Both think Barnett is the best qb in the class (they were asked how Barnett and Wimbush compare to their qb commits)
-Both think Cowart is still UF bound. They don't buy that Bama is surging in this recruitment.
- Both think Ridley is more flipable than Fitzpatrick. Nee said about Ridley: "Ridley is one that people with knowledge of his situation simply won't dismiss as a possibility"
-Nee thinks that Sheffield is the least likely of the Texas cornerbacks to go to FSU (Texas cornerbacks are Hill, Boyd, and Sheffield)
