That's why I'd assume Lber. Longer playin career than RB. Probably more money too.

Well he is a soph? and not a Sr so he has time but at some point you do have to learn a position. You have to construct your body to the exact athletic skills you want to play in the NFL. There are way too many super athletes who never reach their full potential either because they become jack of all trades master of none, or simply play out of position because they like the idea of a certain position which is usually on O.

His father will never let that shite happen. I guarantee you that. Too much LSU in him.

Yeah. Don't get me wrong, seems like a good guy. But you can sort of tell from his posts that he's letting it known how much he wants him to go to LSU.

Which is why I'm nowhere near counting out Bama. The smart play is at LB for him, and y'all keep putting them in the first round. If he grows a couple more inches and we can pitch the Mingo olb/de role then I'll feel more confident.

I told his Dad that shite a yr ago to start train him on LBer skills and DL drills

He is so athletic I'd think he has a huge amount of potential at LBer, maybe when Evans is a household name in a couple years we can pitch him that role

How you been my brethren DT LOVE to see you posting on here bro

Doin good man. Our 2015 class has been pretty laid back with the big needs already on board. Made it a lot easier to just kinda kick back and wait for the season to get here. Wouldn't mind signing CeCe Jefferson though, y'all heard anything on him?

He fits LSU's scheme pretty well

I expect it to be a Bama - LSU battle when UF's high expectations aren't met lol we will see

Yeah I think I remember seeing a story last year about his dad tweeting a '14 RB prospect that he should go to LSU and play with Dylan and this was before Dylan was committed. That was pretty telling.

Charlot says he is 70/30 Bama/LSU. Will visit LSU this weekend. Says he wants to announce his decision at the Under Armor game.

Desherrius Flowers made #75 in Bleacher Report's top 200 recruits after The Opening. Not bad considering he doesn't do the camp circuit.

College Football Recruiting Rankings 2015: Top 200 After The Opening
By Tyler Donohue

75. Desherrius Flowers (Mobile, Alabama

6'1", 212 Pounds

Vigor High School

Schools of Interest: Committed to Alabama

What to Watch for This Fall

Desherrius Flowers is a highly effective high school running back but hasn't shown up with a breakout season just yet. He gained 1,099 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground last fall but could be primed to obliterate those numbers in his final tune-up before Tuscaloosa.

Scouting Report

Flowers doesn't have many tricks up his sleeve, but he's a beast as a straight-line rusher. Quite frankly, he is a perfect fit for Alabama's punch-you-in-the-mouth run game.

His violent style shines on game tape and bodes well for what may lie ahead against hard-nosed SEC defenses. He finds the hole in a hurry and hits it with tenacity.

He carries the football with authority and uses an above-average burst to bully opponents who attempt to halt him at the line. Flowers can often be found shrugging off defenders, using raw physicality to push through the line like a battering ram.

He projects, at the very least, as an effective short-yardage and goal-line weapon. Flowers rarely goes down without fighting for extra yards and always seems to fall forward. Gang-tackling is routinely required to bring him down.

A lack of top-end hip fluidity limits his ability to do a lot of damage with lateral movement, but he'll still sidestep a defender from time to time. Flowers' best highlights will occur when he is rumbling downfield in north-south fashion.

Flowers has drawn comparisons to current Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon, a possible 2014 Heisman Trophy candidate from the same community.

"He's got good speed and he's just a powerful back," Vigor assistant coach Ashley Johnson told Mike Herndon of AL.com after Flowers received an offer from Alabama. "As young as he is, he's just going to get bigger and stronger. He loves the weight room."

Would love to have Charlot, but my eggs are in the Calvin Ridley basket.

Really hope the staff and Barnett go all out in keeping Ridley. Hopefully they show him that stars will be getting the ball in positions for them to succeed this year, instead of giving them ball in random arse places and seeing if they succeed.

You think we take Hill, Charlot, and Ridley? Or is Hill only in if Charlot flips?

Just wondering tMEGATHREAD's thoughts: Does anyone really expect Benito Jones/ Raekwon Davis/ whoever-the-hell-from-MS-that-commits-to-Bama to sign with Bama?

I don't.

Yes, I do. How many commits from Mississippi have we had who didn't sign? Leo Lewis, anyone else?
