DARIUS WHITFIELD
Offensive guard
St. Paul's Episcopal, Mobile, Ala.
Crystal Ball picks: Alabama 100%

Whitfield is the younger brother of new Alabama offensive lineman Joshua Casher. The 6-foot-1, 255-pounder has yet to be offered by the Tide, but hasn't hid his preference of joining his older brother in college. Alabama holds all of the picks in his Crystal Ball, dating back to last summer.

Preston Williams.

It doesn't look like we have a shot here, but Montrell Custis did say he was going to recruit him for Bama.

Are we recruiting moon for the 2016 class as a LB or safety? Because it looks like we will get Wilson because of SDH. And Ben Davis because his dad is a former bama legend. And they are all listed as OLBs. But moon is 200 lbs. others are 225. I'd be down for picking him up like a Ronnie Clark and then getting another safety and am ILB or 2.

6'4 -> I'm thinking LB. And he still has 2 years to put on weight

Clark is 6'3 and he is heavier and he's at SS right now. I could see him playing Mack LB (3rd down middle) or Sam way down the line but moon just looks like Clark demension wise, Wilson looks like a jack and Davis a Sam or jack.

Mack Wilson is being recruited outside presently and did a lot of camp work with Lance Thompson opposed to Steele. Some think Ben Davis ends up a hybrid with his size as a upcoming junior.

Then you have the cover guys like Moon and Emmanuel Bridges with Bama on top. Most of them can play all 4 spots, so it should be interesting how it shakes out in the end.

Would be a great LB class, amazing they wouldn't even have to leave the state again.

If he didn't gain another pound, I'd be inclined to agree with you but I'm guessing he'll be a 6'4, 220 lb OLB by the time he enrolls a la Holcombe and Miller. Just my opinion

Clark is a better athlete outside of stature. Moon is quick for a LB, but not so much as a DB. Clark has the speed and agility for DB, just comes down to where they need him.

Not a personal fan of tall safeties, not that many who can do it well. Unless he's just another forward LB for your D.

Just think if we had won that MAJOR recruiting battle for Justin Cox, we might have a shot to have decent secondary this year.
