@JohnGarcia_Jr At times Calvin Ridley unstoppable. Kid is explosive. Almost as dominating as Amari Cooper was a few years ago at this event.

I don't like this if this isn't his "ceiling" for his size.

Hand is cut from the same mold as Nkemdiche, not Clowney.

He's a stout, athletic kid. He'll probably be 290 by his junior season. Think Ed Stinson with a pass rushing repertoire. There's a reason he was a top 5 player in the country, the sky is the limit for him. Kid is going to be a hell of a football player, and even in high school he wasn't a finesse pass rusher. I love the fact that he's putting on weight. He is the prototype 3-4 end.

Eta: not sure why anyone expected Hand to be the answer as a speed rusher. He's never been that and graduated high school at 260 pounds. It was a given this guy was going to play at 280-290 once Cochran got his hands on him. He isn't the answer at speed rusher but he does give us an elite athlete with great size at defensive end. He is not a Stinson, pagan, Williams type of player. This guy will end up a svelte version of Dareus

Really like Ridley. I've said for awhile that he could make the case for being the #1 WR if Preston Williams didn't have such elite measurables. Ridley seems to have exceptional football speed, but it may not show up in the 40.

Also hoping that Kiffin can get Foster involved a lot this year. Would be a shame to not utilize him.

Too many weapons. All of them won't be fully utilized. I at least hope Coop/Howard get featured a lot.

Agreed, but we are pissing his talent away if we don't see both Cooper and Foster on the field at the same time. I like Christion Jones and White as much as the next guy, but could you imagine trying to defend both Foster and Coop? Which one are you going to double team? Oh, you think you've shut down both? Here comes OJ Howard.

Gump so hard...

There was a wide array of talented 2015 wide receivers at the IMG National 7v7 led by Calvin Ridley, Tyron Johnson and Deon Cain.

Shawn Burgess-Becker (Coconut Creek, Fla./Monarch)
Burgess-Becker is a very good wide receiver prospect. Last year he was a star at this event for the Fire, making a ton of big time grabs. This time around he was more of the possession, red-zone guy and left the explosive plays to his high school teammate, Calvin Ridley. He did catch the ball very well. They are both committed to Alabama but looking around. If I am Nick Saban, I put this guy on defense as a safety. That’s where I believe he has the greatest upside.

George Campbell (Tarpon Springs East Lake)
To me Campbell is an enigma. Where do you play him? He can sometimes dazzle you as a wide receiver. He’s blessed with size, blazing speed and athleticism. Campbell can make some ridiculously acrobatic catches. But he also gets a case of the drops and not a consistent catcher of the football. He did have a very good Sunday for Team Tampa.

Daylon Charlot (Patterson, La.)
Charlot is another Alabama commitment from the Bayou. He was one of many really good wide receiver prospects on the Louisiana 7-on team, The Bootleggers. Charlot mainly manned the slot. What stood out the most to me in watching him was his size and quickness. He’s well put together, has great feet and short area quicks. I did see him have a drop or two but he also made a few defenders look silly in space

Devonaire Clarington (Hialeah, Fla./Champagnat)
Clarington had a solid weekend for the Fire and he made some nice catches and a handful of splash plays. He certainly has the size and length to be a huge matchup issue at an event like this. Clarington is a nice hybrid tight end.

Jovon Durante (Miami Norland)
It’s not really fair that the Fire can have Burgess-Becker, Ridley and this kid on the same team as wide receivers. He’s another big play guy for the Fire. People forget that this is a four-star recruit. He has good speed and a suddenness to him when he has the ball in his hands. Durante is committed to West Virginia.

Calvin Ridley (Coconut Creek, Fla./Monarch)
This Alabama commitment was unstoppable and a big reason why his Florida Fire team went 14-0 and left IMG as the national champs. I mean he was un-guardable. When Fire needed a big play and they wanted to go to Ridley, he would deliver. And it didn’t matter against who because no one could stop him. Ridley is so explosive, especially off the line of scrimmage. It’s as if he’s shot out of a cannon. This kid has elite, deep speed and very good hands.

Craig set to make trips
Regardless of class wide receiver Nate Craig (Tampa Catholic) is one of the very best prospects in the country. He proved that again today at IMG, as he made a handful of spectacular plays.
Craig, a member of the next class of 2016, is sitting on 42 scholarship offers. Yeah, he can virtually name his school.
This week, Craig is excited to see two schools out in Pac 12 country.
“I am going to USC and UCLA, most likely this week,” Craig said. “It will probably be Wednesday through Friday. I really like both of those schools and want to get out there to see them. I have been speaking with those coaches and now I want to see both of those programs. I am still learning about them.”
Craig, 6-foot-3, 205-pounds, will have a busy July. He is set to go back and visit Auburn (July 19). He will also make trips to see Alabama, Georgia and Clemson.
Craig has been an Auburn lean for some time but he’s reeling the process back in because he finds himself really thinking hard about other schools.
”I still have a long way to go,” Craig said. “And I find myself waking up each day and feeling something different about a lot of schools. Auburn hasn’t done anything wrong and I still love Auburn. Some days I wake up and yea, they are my leader. Other days I feel like it’s someone else. That’s just it. I think I need to see everyone.”
Perhaps his prior two visits he made this month changed his mind set. Craig did visit both Florida State and Miami.
”They were both terrific visits,” Craig said. “They really were. I love both campuses, the coaches and the players. Both Miami and FSU really made me feel at home and like I was part of their family.”
Craig is a five-star and the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2016 class.

QB makes visits

2016 quarterback K.J. Costello (Santa Margarita, Calif.) is trying to get ahead of the game and make some unofficial visits. The BBT signal caller was in Gainesville yesterday and sporting a Gator visor throughout the day. Costello had a lot of nice things to say about his trip to the University of Florida.

”I wanted to see what big time SEC football was about and Florida was incredible,” Costello said. “I mean that was very impressive. Of course [Will] Muschamp was out of town but I talked with coach [Kurt] Roper and of course coach White. He’s recruiting me and a great guy. I got to see the facilities, campus and stadium.”

Prior to his trip to Florida, Costello made his way to Tallahassee. There, he spent time with the national champion Seminoles.

”The was unbelievable,” Costello said. “They have so many athletes. They are everywhere. I love that. Those are the guys I want to throw to. I know they are going to be a little shallow at quarterback, especially with [Jacob] Coker gone.”

[b]Coker
has also been to Alabama and Michigan. (I think that is a typo).

”Alabama was unbelievable,” Costello said. “They have top five guys at every position across the board. What I loved about Michigan was their academics. They really take care of their athletes.”

Costello has seen much of USC. All of those programs have offered so far except for the Gators.

”I am not the type of guy to commit and then de-commit,” Costello said. “So it’s great for me to get out and see these places. I want to get educated on the schools so I can make a good decision. I have made five visits and I know with these schools I couldn’t make a bad decision.
