Ivey still needs to put on a good 30 pounds and learn to play at that weight before he becomes an elite player on the college level.

David Sharpe was at one point a 5-star OT too that Lucky had as his #2 overall player. His Senior season hit and his stock plummeted. Not saying that will happen with Ivey, but the precedent is there. Hundreds of times over.

I'm not saying he's assured a top 3 spot by going there,

I know.

It's not gonna be where he picks that will determine that, it will be Ivey and his talent that will. Air Raid or triple option, what style he picks won't change his talent. All Auburn had to do is put him in a position to utilize his talent, but he still had to use that talent to get to that point.

Yep.

It's easy to laud Robinson in hindsight, but there's a reason Ivey is the most sought after OT in the nation as well.

Exactly.

Ivey could pick FIU tomorrow and if he's as good as billed, he'd be a top 10 pick a few years later...

Definitely.

Sharpe is a big outlier because of his insistence to stay in basketball shape while also trying to be an offensive tackle. If/when he gives that up, he can possibly reach that potential.

Not many OL out there are playing basketball too...

D.J. Morgan, out of powerhouse Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco, arrived at Alabama this afternoon. The four-star athlete will be at Alabama until Wednesday. He'll then camp at Auburn on Thursday and Friday. The 2016 recruit has offers from Vanderbilt and Utah. The Crystal Ball reads 100-percent for USC early on. He plans on working out at safety and at wide receiver at Alabama and Auburn this week.

Frostproof (FL) athlete Kaleel Gaines informed 247Sports.com that he picked up three new offers at the end of the week. "Michigan State, Nebraska and Alabama offered me," Gaines said. "Alabama coach Lane Kiffin offered two days ago. He told my coach. They offered me as a DB. They offered my brother (2016 QB Xavier Gaines), too." The 247Sports Composite three-star recruit said his Top 3 is Michigan State, Florida State and Alabama. "As of right now Michigan State leads," Gaines added. He's unsure of any summer visit plans. The Crystal Ball reads 50-percent Ohio State and 17-percent each for Auburn, Oregon and Florida State.

Auburn continued its push to flip Georgia commit Terry Godwin on Saturday when the five-star prospect visited the Plains again for Big Cat Weekend.

"It was just a great day," Godwin said of Saturday's visit. You come here and everybody's having fun. It's just one big family down here."

Godwin committed to Georgia in January, but has since showed significant interest in other programs, most notably Auburn and Alabama.

"(The Auburn coaches) were just telling me, 'Just pick the best school that you and your family talk about and make sure you make the right decision,'" he said. "'Never burn bridges and always have good connections with the coaches. Whatever school you don't go to, stay in touch with them, no matter what.'"

"Everybody's neck and neck. It's going to come down to Feb. 2. No one stands out right now."

Godwin said three of his five official visits will be to Georgia, Auburn and Alabama. He plans to visit Tuscaloosa tomorrow.

"They're both the same," he said when asked to compare the Tide and Tigers. "They're both great with the ball and they both know how to win."

Godwin plays multiple positions in high school but is leaning toward being a wide receiver in college.

"The things i can do with the ball in my hands -- any offense i go to i'll be able to fit in because of my skill set," he said. "(The Auburn coaches) were just showing me different ways i can have the ball in my hands in different types of schemes."

I still don't think it means much. Most of those package deals are started by the lower ranked player of the duo (see alien head and Reuben) whereas the higher ranked kid is usually mum on the situation.

Ivey will sign with Florida unless they tank. Again.

They should have a line of whole, roasted animals for him to eat. Let him choose what he likes and discard the others like a King's feast.

AUBURN, Alabama -- Jonathan Ledbetter's interest in Auburn continues to grow, most notably after the Alabama commitment attended Big Cat Weekend on the Plains Saturday.

"I had fun today, I enjoy (Auburn) a lot more after this experience," said the 6-foot-4, 265-pound defensive end. "I got to meet with the coaches and the staff on a more personal level outside of football today. It gave me more insight on the school and definitely puts them higher up."

The four-star prospect from Tucker, Ga., committed to the Crimson Tide in January, but has kept his options open. Auburn and Georgia are the two schools pushing the hardest to flip his pledge.

"I just had a talk with my mom and I just want to do the best thing for me," he said. "I sat down and talked about it. She just said, 'Hey, you're still a kid. You're in high school, you've got a lot of time. Just relax and enjoy life. That's really what I've been doing.'"

Ledbetter's growing relationship with Auburn assistant coach Rodney Garner has proved to be a plus for the Tigers.

"He's a great guy," Ledbetter said. "Just unbelievable. One of the coolest coaches I've ever met. Straight forward, doesn't beat around the bush. When he says something, he means it."

Although he is committed, he said he doesn't have a set a date on putting an end to his recruitment.

"If you do that, it kind of ruins the fun," he said. "It's going to be on my mind for a while. If I enjoy a school and want to spend college there for those four years, it will be something spontaneous. I'll know the feeling in my heart that's where I want to be. (I have that feeling for) a couple schools. Auburn would definitely be one of them, and the whole coaching staff knows that as well.]"
