Kidding aside, south Mississippi kids haven't been a struggle. But we have swung and missed on most everyone above Jackson for some time.

Well as a native Mississippian I can tell you that south MS really doesn't have a favorite team, especially now that USM has tanked.
One big factor in recruiting MS kids is that 90% of them are big babies and don't want to go too far from mama. Just like Alabama kids.

My sister lives in Hattiesburg. I see more Alabama and LSU fans than either in-state program. My family lived there in the early 90s, and it was mostly Alabama then.

I do know that you could get a LSU car tag in MS way before you could get an Alabama one. I think they have have to get something like 500 applications for an out of state school before they will make them. LSU tags were available weeks after they passed that law. It took almost a year before you could get a Bama one.

I'm from Clinton. There is a 4-star CB in the 2016 class from there. Maybe we can get him.
The last guy from Clinton to play for Bama was my classmate, kicker Neal Thomas. He was a good friend of mine.
He was our kicker in 2001 and 2002 under Franchione.

Speaking of kickers, when do the rankings come out for them? I noticed there is only one ranked kicker in 2015, and he is committed to Michigan.

I now that's why I said need to get him on campus and extend an offer...I'm just going off that last vid and him committing to aTm (they were the 1st school to show interest and send him letters) despite them not being a power run O. I think an offer would be absolutely huge for him or to him IMO
