Copied from the Aggie Recruiting Thread:
They are talking about Deionte Thompson
It's a TIFWIW because their mod is a big homer.
quote:
Taylor Hamm: As for Thompson, I will be making my “flip pick” on the Top247 defender to A&M here soon. Before I go any further, I want to caution everyone that I don’t think we’ll see him make any moves anytime soon. However, after talking with Thompson, sources on the A&M side and people close to the 4-star ball hawk, I feel Coach Sumlin will eventually get him to flip.

From the way Nuss and McElwain described playcalling at the coaching clincs on every offensive snap we have a play called in the huddle in two parts. If we don't say anything other than the QB's regular Cadence we run the first play, if we go to "kill" play we run the 2nd play. Depending on the down/distance and situation it can vary but the average play is usually a run play and a pass play. Our QB also has a full compliment of hot reads and what are called check with me situations where we get a new signal from Groh/Napier (the sideline offensive coordinator if you wiil). Our QB can also flip run plays at the line of scrimmage. Then of course we have true audibles as well.
And of course while terminology is different sometimes from season to season, Kiffin will bring his own wrinkles/tendencies. This puts all our QBs on fairly equal footing in that regard.
And with Coker he has been on the headsets with the FSU coaches for 3 years in an offense that is despite some superficial differences the same offense. Alabama and FSU both run variations of the Erhardt Perkins system. While Kiffin and Jimbo both have different ways of approaching the same offense, Coker will have experience in knowing the philosophy/strategy behind the play calls. He will have to learn the "what" but that is the easy part, when it comes to executing an offense properly the "why" is more important. It is also the hardest thing for young QB's to grasp. If Coker has any insight in this regard he should be special for us.

We laughing about it because it was started in August and just has 20 pages? This is the part we all throw our heads back and laugh right? Maybe make an Aggie gay joke?

We should have 20 pages by the end of the weekend
Now whether or not those pages pertain to recruiting or will be filled with BS, I'm not sure.

Didn't see that
Also, I saw Arky's had 17 pages then realized it was a fball/bball combo.
Saw Tennessee's was ahead of us, then realized it began in 2012

I was wondering about this. Should that even count?

The BS is an essential part of the Recruiting Process.

I have a friend I went to high school with who has posted on other sites in the past as Mr.Tide. I know its such an original name (
) but something about your posting style reminds me of him.

Did you go to a public high school?

Carr is probably going to Auburn.
Probably, but he's still a priority with the Saban and Cristobal contact.
