I like our chances with Will Gragg and Jackson Harris for the TE's in this class.

We made QB Kai Locksley's top 15.

Wish they would just say, I am undecided at the moment. If you genuinely have "a top 15" then you are completely undecided and are just as likely to commit to someone outside that 15 as in it.

Kai locksley's dad is the OC at Maryland. Highly doubt he is going anywhere else. Still, could you imagine what the in home visit would be like

Yeah I am indifferent regarding Ledbetter. I think he is not a bad take, but sort of hate taking a guy like this so early in the process when there are so many big targets with legit interest out there. He to me is a guy you take a commit from in late Jan. or on NSD if you miss on a few others. Right now he only takes a spot for someone else I would rather have. It seems every year we get in crunch time with the numbers for the class because we over extended on accepting commitments.

Yep

And he's also a guy Kirby had a feeling on but I'd like to let Bo Davis sort of do some more digging

I guarantee he's gonna find him a few

Hopefully he takes Chances bum brother with him.

@GVMcElroy: At this time, I would like to announce my retirement from the NFL. LINK

Let him decommit first before we start the "We didn't want him anyway" rhetoric.

I'm srs. I love Mekhi and Cotton. Like Thompson.

Everyone else I'm varying degrees of. "Meh" or "gtfo"

When I wrote about Derrick Henry last Thursday, I was surprised, in reading the comment section, to find a less-than-presiding conviction about his breakout potential for 2014.

Yes, T.J. Yeldon is still there. The two will split time in some capacity. Kenyan Drake might also crack the rotation after a solid year in 2013. The battle for carries will be real. This is, after all, still Alabama.

However, what Henry did against Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl did not feel like a last-game-of-the-season fluke. It felt important; like a bona fide shifting of power. He was making the second-best defense in the Big-12 look like a member of the Sun Belt—and he was doing so in a close game, a game the Tide would eventually lose.

It's unclear exactly how the running back carries will be split in Tuscaloosa, but with a new quarterback replacing AJ McCarron, there will be enough touches to go around. Henry, the leading rusher in high school football history, will have the ball in his hands often.

From there, I trust that he will take care of the rest.

BR ranked the Top 25 coaches in the country:

quote:

1. Nick Saban

Career record: 180-74-1 (165-57-1 in college)

Saban's coaching career would be blemish-free if not for his short stint in the NFL, but in a way that time away from the college game made him that much better.

He has four national titles under his belt, one at LSU and three at Alabama, including back-to-back championships following the 2011 and 2012 season. His 74-15 mark with the Crimson Tide is, in terms of win percentage (.831) the best in school history, edging out Paul "Bear" Bryant's .824 win rate.

Saban's greatness can be measured in many ways, including having the kind of pull that grants him the ability to suggest new rules without actually being on the rules committee.

FWIW, they ranked Gus at #14 and Miles at #3.
