Everyine knows about the struggles Chris dealt with the last few years, just was on finebaum and hearing the humility and gratitude from him makes his journey even more inspirational. His sexton call in the SEC tournament 4 years ago will forever be a highlight in alabama basketball. Hoping he ll have a few more this year.

I listen to a lot of homer broadcasts while driving via The Varsity App. Very few describe what’s going on in the game like Chris.
Short Story: In the Game at Hinkle Fieldhouse last year, the booth that they had Chris in was pretty much part of the crowd. During the pregame, he had conversations with a ton of Bama fans that approached him and took a bunch of pictures. He seems like a good dude

100%
Like Glorious said, he hits the perfect pitch between loving Alabama but also not being an obnoxious homer with crimson glasses. And he's just a great guy who is very talented at describing the action succinctly and setting the scene.

back in the days of John Forney, Tom Roberts and crew. myself and some friends would load up with snacks and beer and drive off sand mtn down to the tn river to a place we call, the mouth of the creek. theres a couple old boat ramps and parking space. there we'd meet up with some older fellows that lived in the valley. you talk about making noise and having a good old time listening to the broadcast of the pregame and game, oh man the good old days. i still listen to some john forney calls on youtube every now and then.

He is. My brother and I were in a fast food restaurant after a basketball win probably a decade ago, wearing the current Crimson Chaos shirts at the time. HE approached US and thanked us for our support.

His Releford buzzer beater call is bliss.
He definitely had to change his pants after that one

The antithesis of the auburn radio guys. I knew Stan White was a whiny bitch calling football games, but I caught one of their basketball games a few weeks ago on the radio and those guys were the exact same way. They don’t even realize how extremely unprofessional it comes off because they are born and bred whiny barners

Maybe that's what he meant by "don't you dare wipe that off"
