WARNING: 1 hour 20 minutes long

This is a long one since they review the two playoff games as well and their relevance towards the game.

TL;DW
- Teams that won game 1, win game 2 60% of the time
- Both Agree Georgia will blitz more compared to game 1
- Split on the pick, both 3 points each way
- Alabama injuries on O-line might be the game deciding issue
- Georgia's offense maybe cant get to 30, without going for 4.5YPC
- Agree that playing JT Daniels would be stupid

Not much talk Ive seen about how bama's defense might actually fair better this game opposed to last. Seen plenty about UGA's though. I haven't watched their vid yet so maybe they actually discuss it

I think that is one of their arguments. Georgia basically attacked us the best that they possibly could. Really not many avenues on offense for them to really exploit because they are not built that way.

Thus unless they run the ball better, they are unsure they can score enough to win

Outside of CFB nerds all I've seen is how Georgia's D will be better but no talk on how Alabama's defense could perform better.

Thank you. Never a word from the media about how much we could improve from the last game. The narrative is always about how the other team is going to beat Alabama. Anderson, Turner and Mathis have combined for 15 TFL and 11 sacks in the last three games. I believe that Alabama has the better secondary and pass rushers between the two teams. And we've been stopping the run much better recently.

Our run defense has been absolutely consistent since that Florida game. That's our best attribute no doubt

I've really enjoyed the run D in the second half. Everyone talks about Anderson as a pass rusher but he's an animal every down.

Yeah the defense is gradually becoming a hateful bunch. (Mainly Anderson, Mathis, and even Harris)

Henry T is very undervalued as are guys like Byron Young, Dale, Eboigbe and Hellams. This is really a very good unit. Hopefully Golding puts them in the best position to win next week.

It’s funny, I’m not really concerned about the defense. I’m sure they’ll make some plays and then give up some plays. IMO, it just all comes down to our offense’s ability to put up a similar type of performance as last time.

UGA has the speed to neutralize screens. Put me down for some slants. The key imo is for our defense to start fast. We have a whole season's worth of data now. UGA's offense has seen one defense like Bama's. Clemson. They beat Clemson by 7. Conversely, our offense had not played against a D like UGA all year. We won by 17. UGA's D hadn't played a single offense rated near Bama's all year. Tenn and Florida were the closest to us that they faced. Again, Bama by 17. I've been pretty gun shy about our chances but I'm starting to see the light.

I have no issues with anything they said. Those guys take a lot of time with these breakdowns and really look at the stats.

The biggest thing and it’s been mentioned, how do we improve on defense which is mainly stopping 19, and how do they improve on defense?

It’s been said but UGA is what it is on offense. Solid but nothing crazy. They want clock control and consistency.

Anyone else seeing that Bowers(19) might be out? Has a shoulder injury that was severely aggravated against Michigan.

Is it rumors he might be out from “insiders” or is this just speculation since he got dinged up against Michigan?

I beg to differ. I actually think that they will try to get one on one match ups with Cook, Burton and Mitchell on our corners. Everyone knows how much of a mismatch Bowers is and he could easily be used some as a decoy. This is all contingent on them achieving balance. Can they run the ball effectively with Zamir White, Cook and McIntosh ? The change up backs lik McIntosh worry me if we don't fit our run gaps right. He nearly gashed us a couple of times in the SECCG.

Yeah, that dude is fast, and I think a shoestring tackle by Battle (?) saved a TD against him.

Also, a healthier Pickens will make a difference in their game plan. Hoping Bama does well against the run again and makes Stetson try to be the hero. We all know how that will go.

They used Pickens on a deep go route and beat Kool Aid in the first quarter. I really suspect that they'll attack Kool Aid and Kyree early. Also don't forget McConkey the little white guy receiver. He burned us for a touchdown on a jail break screen. Hopefully he doesn't end up being another Hunter Renfrow type player. Alabama is very talented and experienced at safety. Battle, Hellams and Wright are veterans. The easier path to big plays is by throwing jump balls, back shoulder fades or a deep route against our corners. They'll do that because even if they don't complete it a flag could be thrown. Officials are flag happy with us in coverage.

When your DB's have their hands all over the receiver then expect a flag.

That ball was badly underthrown and was a great adjustment by Pickens to stop and catch it. He didn't burn the corner or anything. Definitely agree on the game plan for UGA attacking the corners. Bowers being out like a poster alluded to elsewhere would make a massive difference.
