I really hope we don't do that. That's really trashy behavior.
They are paid athletes now.

The 2006 season was rough. We struggled with Duke and Vandy. I remember that we were losing to Duke at halftime. MSU was the worst though. That was the game that really got Shula fired.
Was it 2004 that Hawaii was driving on us late?
Those horrible games blend together on me a bit.

2006 at home. Colt Brennan was their quarterback.

Those were scholly reduction years and the following starters had season ending injuries:
Prothro ('05)
Croyle
Britt
Castille
Mathis (played with stress-fractured leg)
May be forgetting more. We had several walk-on's starting.

Oh I remember. I wish that I could erase those games from my memory. 2005 was awesome up until the Prothro injury. When the offensive line started to get whittled away with injuries it was over.

To this day I don't understand why Prothro was even still in the game at that point.

That 2006 IB in Tuscaloosa was the last time I felt hopeless about the program until Saturday night.
I walked out feeling tons of hope because I knew we were going to move on and that there was a decent chance we could get Saban.
Now the 2000 Iron Bowl….walked out of that one with zero hope.
