Milroe throws an amazing deep ball.
Does he though ?
Is that vs air due to busted coverage, or is he dropping dimes ?
Would you rather have a QB that moves the chains every possession, or a QB that hits one deep ball per game ?
Unfortunately, after all the 20 yard loss sacks I suppose we do have to throw a lot of deep balls just to get back to the sticks.

quote:If you knew anything about football you wouldn't even say that. you can scheme around ok OL play, there is not much you can do with bad OL, everything starts there. How do you scheme around the pass rush getting to the QB at the same time as the ball, or bad snaps, or not opening holes the play calls for, or negating good plays with penalties? We got folks on here that will hyper fixate on the qb without looking at whats going on in the play. In the first game all i read about was how shite Milroe was when he took that sack early on, when it was the LT getting whipped on the rep that blew up the play and Milroe took off a fraction of a second late.
They should have schemes around bad line play. Why didn't they? Are they incompetent or handcuffed?

Milroe was bad but the second the offensive line fixed things, he was not so bad

The fact that you listen to Joey and Palmer should tell everyone all they need to know about your football knowledge. It's nonexistent and your opinion shouldn't be taken seriously. Those two fricking tards. Palmer is an idiot and always has been. Your dumb for even considering what they have to say.

What? Maybe that’s why I was only a HS level coach, but I always drew up stuff with the intent on everyone doing their job I mean you can run screens when line is getting beat or run away from “bad sides” of the OL but at some point everyone needs to be able to execute
ETA- I have coached on both sides of the ball and offense is a lot harder bc sometimes one man breaking down ruins everything
Imagine the coaches just sitting around going "Oh crap we forgot to just scheme around our bad oline play. Lets do that next time. While we are at it lets just scheme around ever losing a game"

I agree with everything you said.. the comment about Lank... was not necessary you did not have to throw that in. Has nothing to do with the football.

Nick Sheridan and Deboer will spend a lot of time going over the mistakes Sheridan made. And there were many. The rest will be fixed when the OL gets fixed.
Honestly outside of a couple of plays he did well. He can’t help that two TDs were called back because of two holds. Without those penalties Bama is up 3 TDs and never look back. That was just a bad combination of OL. Miller and Jalen just screwed up when you can’t have screw ups because the OL was playing so badly.

I came across a tweet where this rocket scientist of a fan came up with the idea to just scrap the o line all together and add 5 extra receivers. Lol, not sure where these folks come from or if they’re even Bama fans.

He also has a tendency to talk too much AND he seems to think he has accomplished a hell of a lot more than he actually has.
I'm glad its not just me. He gives some of the longest answers in the interviews.
I couldn't believe he didn't have enough respect for USF that he didn't have his chin straps tight the first couple of series. I noticed he pulled them tight later in game.
