What about the reality that we should have lost both games? Ever cross mind.

So the point stands - no great ream has ever lost to Vandy.

Shocker statement, Pawwwllll. Using a coincidence to reach an easy conclusion.

And mocking your own team for them thinking they may be great, or can still be great (make the CFP) is like the Barners saying Bama never beats AU when they’re really really good. Well duh.
Most great teams don’t lose to anyone.

You think losing to Vandy and not ending the year being a great team is simply a coincidence?

The best spot in the playoff is 5. We are in complete control of our destiny. Maybe this absolutely monumental kick in the nuts will be worth it. Or we lose 3 more. How we play on Saturday will generally tell me what I need to know.

You definitely have a point, but I'd also argue that this Vandy team is significantly better than any of those Vandy teams outside of the 2012 and 2013 James Franklin teams who won 9 games each and beat Missouri, Auburn, Kentucky x 2, Ole Miss, Tennessee x 2, Florida, NC State, Wake Forest x 2, and Houston.

I think that the idea that losing one game defining the rest of the season just because they had a V on their helmet is a fallacy that doesn't take into account the actual quality of the team, and puts too much weight on things that have happened in the past that really have no relevance to 2024.

BUT, you very well could be spot on, I just think its too early to make that correlation.

I think that we are going to need two weeks of acceptable play from the defense, and a semblance of domination from both sides of the ball to get the taste out of our mouth.

These idiots would rather the staff skip prep for uga and use the off week, the uga week, and the Vandy week to prepare for Vandy, so they aren't embarrassed at work and on their social media.

Simply preparing for both games would have sufficed.

I just mean from a response perspective. Are their ears pinned back and hitting the crap out of people. Or are we the same unprepared, confused looking group.

If I had been given a choice between beating Vandy or UGA before the season started I probably would have picked UGA. But seeing how the defense played against Vandy I may not agree with that now.

That Vanderbilt team isn't as bad as previous ones. They are actually pretty decent and should have beaten Mizz and of course GSU.

They're going to shock another team on their schedule.

Regardless that is no excuse to lose to them and that shows this coaching staff isn't locked in so how can the players be?

Well, you're not going to get that from either side!

What you should hope for is that Bama scores one more point that whoever is on the other side of the field.

Revise your expectations and deal in reality going forward.
