Good lord, I’m about to show my age here. The one Rammer Jammer that stands out for me is the ‘96 Iron Bowl at Legion Field. That last drive with Dennis Riddle scoring on a short pass to tie and then win with the kick, with basically no time left, was amazing. Sure we didn’t “beat the hell” out of them, but it was a great game.

We were walking through the parking lot getting ready to head back to Tuscaloosa when we saw a TV somewhere and it had Coach Stallings on it giving his resignation. That kind of took some of the joy out of the night. Especially looking back and seeing the dark era that would follow for the next 10 years.

Still, that was an awesome Rammer Jammer.

2012 Gymnastics vs Florida,

#1 Florida would be upset by Alabama (who'd eventually win the national title that year) and the Pep Band director got carried away as we traditionally don't Rammjer Jammer at women's sports.... but this was worth it.

And it made me laugh so hard my sides hurt. Best Rammer Jammer ever!

But completely taking over a 100K seat stadium of your rivals and it sounded that clear is hard to beat.

Yea - that one was pretty sweet too. Especially watching Phil walk off the field and have to look up and see 30,000 people in red laughing at him in his stadium.

All true, but there's more to it. Here is a clip that shows almost the whole stadium When you saw so many Alabama fans sitting in high dollar lower bowl seats between the 40s that fat cat Vol fans must have given up, you knew it was all over for The Great Pumpkin.

I was sitting in the end zone upper deck under the scoreboard. I've been on a lot of road trips and I've never seen us take over a stadium like that. It was a pretty incredible experience. Tennessee still had dignity in 2008 and their people were shocked and outraged. It was fvckin awesome.

I was 11 and I'll never forget that game with my dad or watching Beebs retire with the Birmingham ABC sports guys outside live on their big tv set up next to their set next to Legion.

I was there also, same end, lower bowl. People had already started to turn on Fulmer. There was a Tennessee fan...mid twenties probably...sitting a couple of rows in front of me who kept standing and cheering loudly for Bama all night. The shocking thing was that no other Tennessee fans around us cared.

I was so bummed to find out that the Tennessee Band now plays Rocky Top on repeat at the end of the game until the Rammer Jammer is finished. Booo!!! Take you medicine you orange babies!
