Seth Davis has never liked Alabama. No lie.

I think the fact we had a worse winning percentage with Bediako than without him led to the NCAA just acting like those games counted no different than anything else.

Davis has some family connection to Hofstra which he mentioned on the show, I think he was throwing them a bone.

Davis also has a vendetta against Alabama after the Bediako situation. Dude has a whole article based on the incorrect notion that a bylaw allows for paid foreign professionals. After I pointed it out under a tweet of his correctly explaining how the bylaw does not allow room for contracted professionals, he responded "That's incorrect" and refused to explain any further. Dude is a face without a brain.

They’ve beaten a couple ACC teams, albeit bad ones. Cruz Davis is supposed to be good. I’ve never seen him play. If we come out focused, I don’t think we will have issues. If we come out flat and sleepwalking, they may hang around.

Unfortunately, they are probably going to be a tough out. At first glance, they have 10 losses, but they haven't lost a game by double digits all season long. They also seem to be trending up winning 11 of 12..Their biggest loss was by 8 points and most all of their other losses were exceptionally close. All of that said, they needed OT to escape Towson earlier in the week.

We aren't good enough defensively to take any team lightly.

He was blasting us during the Brandon Miller situation a few years ago. I can’t stand his holier than thou attitude. He’s a prick. And, for the record, basically all national media talking heads hate Alabama in every sport.

Our bracket turned out very favorable. Florida is clearly the weakest 1-seed resume wise, but they are our kryptonite and the worst matchup for us. Michigan has shown the highest ceiling of the top 3 teams, but they are also the most likely of the bunch to play down to their competition and haven't had a truly dominant win in over a month (with 2 losses and a lot of really close wins). Texas Tech is also a team that is playing without their first-team All-American. I actually picked Akron to beat them (which would absolutely drive little bro crazy).

Texas Tech without Toppin whose team was a 4/5-seed with him is pretty favorable IMO. They also lost their last 3 (2 of which were unranked and the last getting pounded by Iowa State). They are also outside the top 80 in rebounding percentage (and that includes 26 of their 32 games with the 11 RPG injured star).

We got about as favorable first weekend we could reasonably draw with our resume. The possibility of Michigan then Iowa State in the second weekend is about as bad as we could draw without catching Florida and Purdue as second weekend options lol.

I heard something about a Michigan injury. So it might not be the worst 1 to get. And Iowa St is my favorite 2 to play.

Funny enough, we kinda got screwed with Hofstra, as they're much better then the other 13s (they're 91,Troy is like 150ish). But you can't really bitch about your 13 matchup without sounding like a pussy.

they were probably 2 or 3 with toppin. those last 3 losses were against tourney teams and beating duke and zona goes a long way.

You’d rather have Purdue/AZ or UConn/Duke?

I’m not sure Iowa St will even get to Elite 8. Wouldn’t be surprised if KY or Santa Clara got them and UVA could as well.
