It’s not gonna happen until Murphy leaves. Offense has always been like this. He has always had a strong Ace(except maybe Osorio) to carry the team. Will be real interesting next year when he doesn’t have that

Is anyone surprised? We recruit players who are regularly the best players in their state. Players of the year in high school. They rake until they get into our program and then steadily regress until they can't hit water if they fell out of a boat.

Jaala Torrence did a fantastic job. Offensively, whoever is the hitting coach needs to be fired immediately. The changeup had our batters fooled like they never seen it before in life.

and they're doubly bad when they have 2 strikes. they swing at most anything at that point. it was embarrassing at some of the pitches they were swing at.

Next year should be Murphy’s undoing. No bell cow pitcher to run into the ground, same batting coach so same shitty offense we’ve had for years. I wont be surprised if we finish right around .500 in the conference, maybe even below it.
Does he still get a pass due to his history or does somebody wake up and see the steady decline of Alabama softball the last 10 years and say enough is enough?

We could see some young defections like last year if they see little future in their development as a hitter by staying with Murph.
