Seems like a pretty lazy hire but what do I know? I would’ve tried poaching Gator from Limbaugh/Vandy if we wanted an Alabama guy.

Na, Hunter is going to do a great job. He turned down D1 head coaching jobs to be the Bama assistant and I'm glad to have him.

Alabama Women’s Golfer Benedetta Moresco Wins Italian Stroke Play Championship

University of Alabama women's golfer Benedetta Moresco garnered the Isa Goldschmid Trophy Sunday morning, after leading the Italian Stroke Play Championship wire-to-wire in Monterosi, Italy, June 17-20.

Competing at the Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Golf Club Terre dei Consoli (par 72, 6,550 yards), the rising sophomore from Caldogno, Italy, recorded scores of 70, 65, 73 and 69 to force a lead after each round of the championship and turn in an 11-under-par 277 scorecard. Her final score was six shots better than second place.

Moresco is coming off a showstopper season at the Capstone, earning 2021 Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year and All-SEC First Team honors, leading the Crimson Tide with a 71.72 stroke average through 18 rounds of golf. She stood her ground in Golfstat's individual top 50 all season, while her best all-around performance came at the Gamecock Intercollegiate this spring, earning marks of 70, 70 and 74 (2-under-par 214) to finish tied for third place.

No insight from me - found a 2016 article where she was committed to Bama but 2020-21 was her freshman year. Saw on her bio she was from Huntsville. Only one of two freshmen listed on last year’s roster. LINK

A side note here that I've thought about with the new NIL for college athletes.
She's a cute girl and I can see where female athletes especially could get modeling type contracts offered to them in return to play sports at a certain university, like USC in Los Angeles.
