Maybe for the next week or two, we should practice in Walking Boots? and assign wheelchairs and RN's to every football player.. or as someone mentioned...Wrap them in Bubble Wrap until game time
Time for congress to open an investigation into the Shoes (NIKE = OREGON) hummmm????

Scrimmage report: Christian Harris challenging at interior linebacker Christopher Walsh by Christopher Walsh
quote:
Crimson Tide holds final fall scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium
Conditions at Bryant-Denny Stadium were sunny, 93 degrees, heat index of 97.
Freshman nose tackle DJ Dale (knee) warmed up but was not expected to participate in Saturday’s closed scrimmage.
Redshirt junior linebacker Terrell Lewis appeared to be limited. (hope this is just the Pitch Count
Redshirt freshman Emil Ekiyor Jr. was at right guard and junior Chris Owens at center with the first-team offense.
Redshirt freshman Jerome Ford was more in the mix at running back.
The scrimmage is the last good chance for players to pin down starting jobs prior to the season opener against Duke in Atlanta on Aug. 31.
One spot that is still up for grabs is at interior linebacker. Freshman Christian Harris was working with Dylan Moses with the first-team defense during the observation period.
“All I can tell you is there’s a lot of competition there and we need somebody that will step up and be responsible to do a job to develop confidence of the players around them and develop confidence in themselves that they can go out there and play winning football for us regardless of the circumstance or the situation,” Saban said. “So whichever guy steps forward to do that the best, that’s who will win the job.”
Injury rundown
• Redshirt junior cornerback Nigel Knott: The only player yet to practice, he’s out indefinitely with what Nick Saban only described as a medical issue.
• Senior interior linebacker Josh McMillon: Out indefinitely with a knee injury, could miss entire season.
• Freshman running back Trey Sanders: Out indefinitely with a left foot injury, could miss entire season.
• Redshirt freshman defensive lineman Stephon Wynn had surgery following a high ankle sprain. Will likely miss another week.

I guess going to a 4 WR set is going to happen more often now then expected. No depth at RB means Tua might be slinging it more. The good thing for us he has so many weapons and there is not a team that can cover all 4.
I also would not be surprised seeing Waddle used like Harvin was at UF. Even before the injury based on some things Sark said I was expecting more touches for Waddle different ways and now may have to.

Was looking forward to seeing him get on the field this season... this may hurt his chances? if he moves to RB instead of WR/Slot... he would see more time at this juncture as a WR I believe...but I could be mistaken

On another note: Delong was reportedly the best punter today... wait is that good or bad? hummm, let me ponder that... if he punted like last year, seems bad... but he did well in the A-Day game... so I am going with Good, the competition from Will R is pushing him to be better and better...

BOZ? Harris move to the front of the Will line, you good with that? what's the buzz, did he look good? Hear he had at least one big tackle for a big loss today

Harris has all the talent, just didn't really play the position in high school. Got to get experience.

They held Lewis and forristall out. They said heck no with their injury history. Not worth the risk. Good decision. They will be ready week 1

Alabama coach Nick Saban addressed the media Saturday after the team’s second preseason scrimmage.
Here is a summary of what he said:
— Saban said there were a significant number of players who made strides from the last scrimmage, but he noted that there were too many missed tackles and big plays yielded. He added that there were also some giveaways that were troublesome.
— Saban said Alabama played the first 55 plays of the scrimmage like a game with coaches using headsets.
— Saban said that four players who would be starters on defense didn’t play in the scrimmage. Tight end Miller Forristall, outside linebacker Terrell Lewis, offensive lineman Matt Womack and defensive tackle DJ Dale were held out, Saban said.
— Saban said running back Jerome Ford suffered a sprained ankle during the scrimmage and could be out a week. seems like if it's a HIGH ankle sprain...that would require 2-3 weeks?
— Saban said Mac Jones is “way ahead” in the competition for the backup quarterback job. Saban added he is pleased with Tua Tagovailoa’s performance thus far.
— Saban said freshman inside linebacker Christian Harris did well while working with the first team. “There is still competition at that position, but he is a guy who has made plays throughout fall camp,” Saban said.
— Saban said nobody’s “100 percent” right now.
