Doesn't appear to be much different than being in a restaurant, IMO, except that there are more people of course.

Jokes on them about the "dramatically reduced seating capacity," though, since Coleman is only crowded about two or three times a year.

I just don’t understand this. If you’re sitting with family or friends that you came with and you’re 6 feet apart and seated away from the next person, then why do we have to keep a mask on? Of course when we get out of our seat to go to concessions, restrooms, or to leave then we’d need to wear one but when we’re not close to someone else I see no reason for it

Your overall point isn't wrong, but policing it as you described would be a massive PITA. Just easier to say wear your mask.

Plus, you're going to be in an enclosed environment with several thousand people for probably 3 hours. Social distancing or not, the chance of you accumulating enough viral particles to become infected is going to be exponentially higher than just being in a restaurant, etc. I'm really surprised there will be fans allowed at all and I wonder how long that will last. Because some people just won't comply with the mask rule and chances are someone will be a super spreader at some point. I understand why they are requiring masks.

Amazing Stat: 49% of Alabama's field-goal attempts last season were 3-point shots. Crimson Tide are the Houston Rockets of the SEC.

I dislike Rothstein more and more everyday and I’m convinced that he doesn’t really have a great grasp of how teams play basketball. He just looks at the most basic statistics that have been around for 50 years (nothing advanced or analytical) and makes very broad statements based on that. This is a terrible comparison because all Houston really runs is straight up iso ball while taking a bunch of threes. That is nothing like what Oats’ system is designed to do.

Wow

It's only a matter of when for LSU, and I have a feeling it's going to be scorched earth.

Can confirm basics here: Arizona charged with nine violations, five Level Ones, including a head coach control charge for Sean Miller. This is a whopper of a Notice of Allegations.

If that one is given to Auburn in theirs Idk how they can keep Bruce. Hell, Bruce probably gets another show cause because he is a repeat offender

Pearl will not get one and he shouldn’t. What Person did was not to help Auburn, it was to help Person.

There is also a second reason to hope the NCAA sees it that way. Our AAD was in the same group as Chuck. If AU gets hammered we will too.

I agree. I really don’t think Auburn should get any punishment from this. They fired Person, suspended Purifoy and Wiley as well. What else were they supposed to do?

They played ineligible players. Even though I hate the whole 'vacated' thing, based on precedent they should probably have to give up those wins (there weren't many) but IMO that should be the extent of it.

We may well end up vacating games won with Sexton too.

LSU and NC State aren't going through the normal enforcement process. They're using the new IARP (Independent Accountability Resolution Process). I don't think they issue traditional NOAs.

My prediction is that Wade and Gottfried are going to find themselves hung out to dry. Unlike the committee on Infractions, this IARP group is made up of a ton of practicing attorneys. They're going to be interacting with University attorneys and the coaches are going to find themselves being fingered as the bad guy by both groups.

LSU and NC State get some meaningful but not devastating sanctions and the coaches get their careers ended.

Arizona’s attorney has asked that the case be referred to the IARP. He wants the evidence heard by an unbiased entity. Be careful what you wish for.

Rothstein is whining on twitter wanting everyone to just go to conference-only schedules now. I really can’t stand him.

Maui Invitational in Asheville, N.C. still on as scheduled, sources told ESPN. 95% of COVID protocols agreed-upon with teams at this point.

Also possible that some of the teams on the move after Orlando's cancellation could end up playing in Asheville after Maui ends.
