Athletes will be granted a penalty-free, 1-time transfer starting in 2021, per proposal sent to DI Council & obtained by @SINow. It’s expected to pass in January.
FB/BSK players must notify school of transfer by May 1 each year.

I would recommend using that money to buy gold and silver and wait until the bottom of an economic recession before construction. Just my two cents.
At which point the FOGs would declare that the seat bottoms in BDS need to be painted in a houndstooth pattern and the money would be used for that.

Happy Birthday, Coach Oats! Great men were born in October: CNS, Coach Oats, myself.
Regarding the Gregg Marshall situation. I remember the Alabama fan base all fired up at the thought of landing Marshall as our coach, myself included. It looked like a great hire from a fan perspective. But the people that make those calls like the AD, are charged with digging deeper and vetting a candidate much more thoroughly than the average fan has knowledge of. I can forgive fans for wanting to hire someone like Marshall based on the product on the court. That’s pretty much all we see and know unless something egregious enough to become a story comes out.
But if you needed any more evidence of how incompetent and over his head Bill Battle was as an AD, just consider that this man flew to Wichita and engaged in serious discussions with Marshall and offered him the Alabama job. Serious enough discussion that WSU gave Marshall a raise and an obscene amount for a mid major program. It wasn’t just a casual interview.
You can’t convince me there weren’t already red flags on Marshall (besides his bat shite crazy wife but that should be enough to wave off any good AD: see Rich Rod, Gus, and Avery for reference) yet our AD saw no reason to not pursue him. I suppose you could argue that it’s what the fans and boosters wanted, but it’s YOUR job to dig deeper and find the dirt that makes him a dangerous hire and to make the tough call to say no in the best interest of the program.
I shudder to think that Avery was a hastily arranged fallback that fell into Battle’s lap after he whiffed on what might have been a colossal blunder by hiring Gregg Marshall which he tried mightily to do.

In the end it worked out. Like getting turned down by a good coach and to go through the Shula years before getting Saban.

You'll find few basketball coaches highly optimistic they'll actually play a full 27-game sked as planned. The expectation's really getting to 20-22 reg-season games would be a W. It could be worse. The current players are owed another year if they want it (plenty won't take it).

Same. I desperately want to see how different we look inside with Bruner.

Bryant, did you ever get your dough from 5dimes?
Posted on 10/14/20 at 11:09 am to chepooka
I did, but they charged me with a 5% admin fee and then a 3% fee for my non-exclusive status. I was ticked with the fees but I’m happy with bet online at the moment. Much better customer service and deposit bonuses.

Nice, hope Bama gets a high seed.

If we don’t get to be in Birmingham in 2023, hopefully the regional we are in will be opposite days so I can still go to the games in Birmingham. I’m pumped.

NBA Draft note: Phoenix Suns had a second Zoom interview with Alabama PG Kira Lewis Jr. earlier this week, per team source familiar with the meeting. Suns have the No. 10 pick. Knicks have also interviewed Lewis Jr. over a Zoom call.

Sucks that we didn’t get any practice updates or videos. I guess it really isn’t possible this season.

Practice should start today. I doubt we get any videos though
