Wake finished as late or even on Monday, too

Rob Vaughn of Maryland seems to be a name to keep an eye on for head coach. He’s only 35 but has quickly turned Maryland baseball around.

Great kid and family! Glad to see my alma mater contribute to the Bama roster for a change. Butch at AU and previously at MSU has grabbed a lot of talent out there in the past. Let’s go Bull!!

UA baseball, softball tournaments bring more than $2M into Tuscaloosa economy

This spring, the University of Alabama's softball and baseball teams stepped up to the plate and provided a big boost to Tuscaloosa's economy.

Stan Adams, executive director of sports for Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports, said the three post-season tournaments — two hosted by the UA softball and one by the UA baseball team — brought in about $750,000 each to the local economy.

"We're kind of estimating a total, overall, (of) about $2.25 million of economic impact ... combined from all three events," Adams said.
