I wonder why they aren’t canceling?

Confirmed by his family on Twitter today, Hagan Banks had “elbow” surgery. Wishing him (and Riley) a speedy recovery. Should be a strong duo for next season.

Samford has a decent little squad. Took Miss State to extras and had control of the game at one point.

Alabama baseball held off a late rally by Samford to claim an 11-10 win on Wednesday afternoon at Joe Lee Griffin Field. Following the midweek, the 11th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 22-7 overall.
Alabama gained a 3-0 advantage early with a two-run first and one run in the second. The Tide then added two more in the top of the fifth before Samford was able to get on the board with three in the home half of that inning. Alabama added four in the sixth, once again answered by the Bulldogs, this time with a two-run sixth. The Tide added single tallies in the eighth and ninth to head to the home half of the final frame with an 11-5 lead.
In the ninth inning, Samford was able to cut the lead in half with a three-run homer from Cullen Horowicz. The Bulldog ninth continued on when an error followed by a two-out double scored one more. Samford was able to add one more with an RBI-single and had the tying and go-ahead runners aboard before Tyler Fay recorded the final out with a strikeout.
Fay picked up his first career save with 0.1 an inning while Kade Snell (1-0) got the win. The left-hander tossed 4.0 scoreless frames with four hits, one walk and three strikeouts in his start.
Alabama's offense finished with 11 runs on 13 hits with all nine starters recording at least one knock. The bats were led by Gage Miller, who went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, three RBI, three runs and two walks. Ian Petrutz and TJ McCants also added home runs, with Petrutz finishing 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a pair of runs and one while McCants contributed an RBI and one run scored.
From Head Coach Rob Vaughn
"We'd like to play a little cleaner than we did today. We have to keep showing up and doing the little things right to play more consistently so the game comes easier to us. But, finding a way to win on the road is never easy, especially against a good team like Samford. Thankfully the boys were able to get it done."

I don’t understand why we would use weekend arms. Especially one who’s said to start again?
