Thank heavens today was the last home basketball game so hopefully this will be the end of the single, iPhone 3 camera, press box view.

Now we have AD pitching in a seven run game.

We better score another 20 in game two to be safe.

Scoring 30 runs in 2 games is awesome.

Giving up 14 isn't.

Breakfast at Coleman. Lunch at Rhoads. Dinner at The (freezing cold) Joe. Days like this were made for Bama fans. Haven’t had a chance to fully review what went wrong with game one. A 3-8 team apparently shelling our Friday night line up the week before SEC play begins? Such a contrast though in white knuckling at Rhoads when the softball team goes down by 2 and being mildly concerned when the baseball team goes down by 5. Hodo with the “granny” followed by a LeBron solo shot followed by another Hodo homer in his next at bat was a sight to behold. Get through today then a challenging road game awaits at Southern Miss, followed by the SEC opener with Tennessee.

A long day for Alabama baseball finished with a pair of wins over the Lipscomb Bisons. The 13th-ranked Crimson Tide took game one of the doubleheader, 20-13, before a 10-1 victory in the nightcap. With the pair of wins, the Tide is now 14-1 on the young season.

The Crimson Tide offense totaled 27 hits across the two games, including seven doubles and five home runs, on to the way to 30 total runs. Gage Miller led the way with a 7-for-10 day that included three doubles, two home runs, four RBI five runs and one walk. Close behind was Will Hodo, who finished 3-for-5 with two home runs – including a grand slam – seven RBI, five runs and five walks.

"Obviously, this was a really long day of baseball, especially if you play an almost four-hour first game and then have to bounce back. You have 40 minutes before you roll back out there and play it again. It was a long day for our kids, but I thought it was a great day overall getting two wins out of it."
