Saban always gets fiery when we are winning comfortably as opposed to tight games. That has been the case since forever.

This is not the case. Saban gets fiery when 1) he believes a team has moxy and 2) when things are less cerebral and more effort. Start yelling at pitchers or QBs to just make a good throw and you will hurt more than help. But you can yell at linemen to give better effort and to make better decisions.

Anyone know why he was mad at 3. It may have been for a previous play and not the one he was coming off the field for. We still had 3rd and short several times and only went under center once and did a QB sneak.

I don’t know, but I was a little afraid he’d broken Terrion. He looked stunned.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. Noticed he went back up to Terrion just afterwards on the sideline and gave him a quick nod.

The head coach thought he had a team that needed a supportive coach but has discovered they need a hard arse coach. This is a team with a lot of new coaches - including both coordinator positions - and many new players at critical positions.

Feel like we just gotta hope everybody figures it out but they can scrounge together enough to get a W each week while the figuring it out is happening.
