I remember when I was a kid the entire state was 205.

what's the big deal about this? All of Atlanta and the entire metro county area, which is like over 20 counties, have at least 4 area codes. We've been having to dial 10 numbers, including the area code, for like 25 years or so.

I have to into my phone and see which numbers I put in without 205. I hate messing with that shite

Me too! And so was Mississippi and the Florida panhandle from Pensacola to Gainesville was one. Good times.

North Alabama has been doing this since 2010 when the 938 area code was added to the current 256.

It's really not a big deal to dial the area code in addition to the phone number.
