You don't know that. I mean, it's obvious that you don't want him to succeed, and he might not, but you just don't know.

But anyone who thinks he should be fired this year is a dumb frick. No exceptions.

He can't beat Florida. Hell, he can't keep Florida within 10.

What do you think we should do about it?

Haha I think we have the make of a good team. I think if our guys get in the gym and just get some consistency in there game we will be fine. Everyone wants to blame CAG but its not 100% on him. For instance I know Trevor Lacey and he is lazy as shite. I expect him to hardly do any working on his game besides pick up games at the gym this summer.

Few teams can. UF is going to do some major damage in the tourney, probably even make it to the final four. Honestly we're lucky we were even able to hang with them, let alone keep it close.

lol, this thread is the alabama fanbase defined. footbaw!

I've been reading a lot of your post, and I have to say I agree with a lot of what your saying. Your right, a lot of our fanbase has been spoiled by success, even though our success is honestly rare. Not many coaches of any sports team and turn them from mediocrity to a national powerhouse in less than 5 years, and since that happened to us in football, we expect that to happen with every sport now. I'm not saying we shouldn't critique Grant, but asking for his head now would only kill our program, and most of our fans need to realize that.

The next two years, Grant will have his roster in place and a decent mix of talent finally. All we can do is wait and see what Grant can do with them. Unless the team goes win-less in SEC play, Grant is not going anywhere.

Next year will have all the perimeter players returning and adding two big guys while also returning Jacobs and Swede. If just one of the new guys can provide true post presence on D with rebounding, the team could make some noise. The year after, only Trevor will be gone, so will have a very experienced team again with a good mix of talent. Picking up a PG and finding a shooter would be a bonus.

That's where you're wrong. I truly want Alabama basketball to be decent again.

Maybe Grant will make some assistant coaching changes in the off-season to get an offensive game plan together. I have no faith that will happen.

^^^This. Honestly if next years' class is as good as people say, then we have nowhere to go but up.

Next years class is OK. It basically rest on the hands of Hale. Taylor will be the same as the big Swede at first.

I really think they should let him go next year if their isn't SIGNIFICANT improvement. this team will only lose Steele which is really a valuable piece to this team but is replaceable. We will get a lot more post depth with the Greensboro guy and Engstrom this team should not have multiple 'WTF' games like this season...Barn, Mercer etc.

3 straight 20 win seasons. 3 straight winning conference records. This is Alabama basketball, it will never be a powerhouse. The 3 goals it can achieve every year is a 20 win season, winning conference record, and a NCAA tournament appearance every year. 2 out the 3 goals= good season. 3 out of 3= great season.

this is how we should honestly look at it. However there needs to be a philosophy change some where on that coaching staff. Taking 20 seconds to pass the ball around and then taking a bad shot with 5 seconds left on the clock is absurd.

I don't have any problems with the team except that. If you know that 3's are a weakness then go for layups. Score fast and go up tempo, don't allow the other team to set the pace. It's the exact opposite mindset of our football team.

Izzo and Pitno are all willing to walk over hot coals to coach at UA. But we are stuck with Grant. He cannot coach or recruit! Blah blah blah.... Give Grant next year and we will know one way or the other what Grant can do. I think it will be a great year, but if not it will be time to move on.
