Alabama has a football culture that just doesn't fit with this kind of coach. I shared a video about Wallace Wade on here last month and there were some descriptions of his character that seem to encapsulate how our fans feel to this day. Wade was a man who was tough as nails and hated losing more than he loved winning. Winning wasn't the goal, winning at everything you do was the only thing. You aren't changing that personality imbued on this program and its fanbase. It's been there since its begins as a nationally relevant football squad a century ago.

This is what I was saying last night. We don't need Saban's specific type of personality to win big, but we need a big personality who is singularly focused on winning. Oats and Saban are polar opposites as people in most respects, but Oats is still about as locked in and focused on winning as you can ask for. DeBoer does not give off that vibe in any way.

I'll say again, some of our fan base is not going to be satisfied unless we get the reincarnation of R. Lee Ermey as Sgt. Hartman from Full Metal Jacket.

Our problems are accountability being enforced and attention to details by the coaching staff. The problem isn't that they aren't yelling enough. The problem is they are lazy arse coaches.

We can’t afford a 70mil buyout and the contract of a new staff. We’re stuck.

Pay $70 million and then we'd just stupidly give the next guy some massive contract with a ridiculous buyout clause.

Unsure if true, but just read it's 10 million a year spread out over 6-7 years. If true that bum needs to be on a train tonight. Just kidding, but I would be conducting a clandestine coaching search as we speak.

You nailed it on the head. He isn’t the answer, never will be, was never the right guy from the jump. The AD screwed us over with his contract’s buyout structure and now has likely put the program in a position to be decimated before they can even remotely consider firing him from a financial standpoint. Greg Byrne should be just as much on the hot seat as DeBoer IMO.

The Byrne Notice weekly emails...I didn't realize it was a notice he was burning the program down.

We could move his arse to OC and go find a real HC.

A real coach wouldn't tolerate being forced to keep DeBoer on staff.
